Pros: Great remote; beautiful exterior design; integrates very well with HK's CD changers Cons: Poor sound quality; runs very hot
It can be successfully argued that the glory days of the two-channel receiver are past. The two-channel world is alive and well despite the onslaught of surround sound formats geared towards video reproduction, but while there is no shortage of...

Pros: can be used as a separate preamplifier, or main amplifier Cons: none for my application
The Harman Kardon HK3370 is the only stereo receiver on the market I know of that has preamp out/main-in connections. This means you can use this unit as a separate stereo preamplifier, or main amplifier. Before purchasing this unit, I used to have the...

Pros: Perfect design. Good bass. Cons: missing details. The sound is not real.
The price was good and external design was perfect. I thought to myself then:” Well this thing should definitely make a good sound. And it did,…actually for a few days.

Great traditional stereo receiver
by mrbill2 ,Nov 17 '04
Pros: Sound quality, speaker switching Cons: Not enough other HK products available, to build an entire system.
If you desire great sound and quality, from a traditional stereo receiver, I can recommend this model. I had zero interest in home theater, but needed a replacement for a 20 year old Yamaha amp. I wanted to connect a turntable, which many receivers can't accommodate. I also wanted to run (with switching at the amp) two pairs of traditional speakers, also which many of todays receivers can't handle. My speakers are old, top of the line, ESS speakers, which would quickly expose any sound defects coming from the amp or inputs. The sound is fantastic, particularly the highs that the ESS speakers can deliver so well if given the right signal.

It's the best stereo speaker...
by robert_dt3001 ,Jul 07 '02
It's the best stereo speaker I ever had! I love everything about it! Great features, easy to use, great sound, hook up a subwoofer and notice a difference in the bass. You can even use it for home theatre and still feel you are at the movies. However this system is best for what it is meant for - pure music.
