Pros: Lightweight,Easy To Use,LCD Display Panel Cons: My Holster Clip Broke.
The Cobra Microtalk FRS-110-SB has helped me many times in the woods, at the mall and even while traveling in different cars. I love this little jewel. It makes my life easier and safer. I bought it first of all, to use on hunting trips. As, I...
Pros: Clarity, good reception, plenty of stations. Cons: None
I originally purchased our set of Cobra FRS-110-2Sb radios as a Father's Day gift for my husband more than a year ago. We have since purchased another pair, as the entire family has experienced the benefits of these radios.
Pros: Small, compact, light weight, easy to use, clear reception, perfect way to communicate, low cost Cons: Roger Beeptone is annoying and cannot be turned off. No sub-channels.
Have you ever been in a theme park where you need to communicate to another party? Did you ever need to keep track of your friends in another car? Did you ever go skiing on the high slopes and need to talk to someone on the bunny slopes? What about...
Pros: cheap, works well, hard to break Cons: bad belt clip design
My first experience with Family Radio Service (FRS) came when a group of friends took a pair on a backpacking trip. The radios were useful both in the cars on the way and on the trail. As in "take exit 26!" and "have you made it to the bridge yet,...
Pros: affordable pricing; sold as a pair; compact; easy to use Cons: none at this time
The addition of my WebTV solved many problems but created another monster. My phone line is tied up for hours at a time so my mother, who lives next door could not reach me by telephone nor could anyone else. Solution: Cobra Microtalk FRS-110. This...
Pros: Very good radios for people that have never used FRS before. Cons: You will like them but you will want to buy better ones with CTCSS codes.
These radios look rather plain. They are black.
I also have a Cobra 115 that is red and has built in AM/FM radio.( Great stereo FM music with headphones. The 115 was not expensive and can be bought with a double radio charger. NO CTCSS...
Pros: Handy to hold, easy to use, attractive design Cons: Eats battery life, don't work great over long distances
What a great pair of radios for use in short distance. However, the distance is really affected by steel buildings, etc... We tried to use these in the same school building and it was pretty much impossible to hear the other party on a different floor of the building.
But outdoors they work awesome. They saved many hours of running up and down stairs and across fields!
Recommend buying rechargeable battery packs for these buggers...they require 4 AAA EACH.
inter connects with motorola too! by zorkd ,Jun 19 '06
Pros: -manual squelch open button
-good price
-handy
-good sturdy construction
-works with motorola Cons: tx at .5 watts only but uses 4 batteries
no external antenna connector
inter connects with motorola too! it works with the first 14 channels of my sx-700r radio, i just don't know why it needs 4 batteries if it is only .5 watts, sx-700r can tx at 2 watts and also only uses 4 AAA batteries. either the circuitry is a bit boosted and it transmits at more than .5 watt (the FCC doesn't really check all of these i think, besides it is made in chine, OR it is 2AAA + 2AAA in parallel for improved battery life between recharge.
nice and handy, i could use a manual since i just got one as is, no battery nothing, and it is worn out really worn out. it works and i figured out most everything, even the manual squelch open feature, but i don't know how to lock the keypad so the channel is not accidentally changed.
