A nice low priced digital camera that can use both 1.44 MB floppy discs and a memory stick card. This camera lists for $499 and can be found for a little over $400. It comes ready to use the 1.44 MB discs but you will have to purchase the optional...
Pros: exquisite close ups, details, sharp photos, high quality photos Cons: no viewfinder, uses floppy disks, no case, light on LCD screen uses lots of power
It all started with lipstick.
I was cruising ebay looking for a less expensive source for "designer" lipstick. Page after page, I flipped through pictures of blurry fascimiles of what the auctioneers had for sale.
Pros: This camera has stamina, is easy to use; I love the floppy disk option! Cons: I would love a view finder! The mysterious yellow tint.
I know they have been discontinued. But I also know that they sell them on ebay still - so they are not exactly obsolete. If you shop for one, you can still find some new in the box. At this point, I don't know how good Sony is for the warranties or ...
Pros: Very easy to use. Good picture quality. Brainless transfer to computer Cons: Size, weight, absence of separate charger, slow speed writing to floppy
We got this shortly after our daughter was born so that we could keep our parents up to date. It was our first digital camera. We went with it partially because it records on cheap 3.5" floppy disks, which you can buy anywhere, and it makes...
Pros: Great Picture Quality, Uses Floppy Discs, Zoom is good, You can record movies. A/V Connection. Cons: Video Recording is only 30 Seconds, A/V Connection is in B&W and only works Mono.
We have this camera for over 2 years and well, I am excited about it as you. Here's my review. LOOKS The Looks are the greatest you will see in a sony camera, And I can see, The back has the looks to, It also has a Blacklight screen so you ...
Pros: Quality pics, Easy to use. Cons: Difficult viewing in sunlight
Great quality pictures. Ability to "scale back" the resolution to get more pictures on a floppy if quality isn't THAT important.
Lots of 37MM accessories available from variety of manufacturers to enhance the photo taking experience. (Telephoto,...

It's an excellent, well crafted and easy to use camera, with all the features I need to shoot pictures when I am traveling abroad. Diskettes are cheap and available. No need to buy expensive flash cards. The only problem is with relatively low picture quality that makes producing a good prints difficult. A good choice for making electronic photo albums.
My first Digital Camera.... by codyc_dt3000 ,Apr 06 '02
My first Digital Camera. It's everything I wanted and does Jpeg pics perfectly. Very easy to e mail any pic you take, with fast download times, and the floppys are so inexpensive. I can get 24 pics on each floppy. The memory sticks can't compare in price. Nothing else to buy to look at the photos on your PC. Simply remove the floppy from the camera, and insert in your PC. You can also see every picture you take on the camera as well. Run out of disks on vacation? Just pick up another box at your nearest discount store! I've taken over 40 disks full of photos and haven't had one problem.
This camera is, in my opinion, the perfect grab and shoot image maker. I have taken countless pictures with it and have yet to be disappointed with the camera's perfomance. A definite bonus, for those intimidated by high tech hardware, is the pure simplicity of it's use. Great item for those of us who are put off by the race to make all things digital pin head size. The ability to take a picture for someone and hand them a $.50 floppy, on the spot, as opposed to a $100.00 memory card has it's plus side also. Highly recommended.
