Pros: Good sound for a reasonable price Cons: No real problems
I picked out this model because it was among the least expensive models that have optical audio output. There were two less expensive models, but they were not acceptable to me (one was from a brand that has disappointed me in the past, and the other was ...
Pros: Good sound quality, useful remote, Optical and RCA output, can support headphones without a reciever. Cons: Cannot turn on with remote
The Sony CDP-CE375 5-Disc CD Changer is a great, though not perfect, entry-level CD player. It features 5 disks for long play, standard Shuffle, Repeat and Program funtions, and gives excellent sound quality, especially at a fairly low price. For those...
Pros: Low priced changer with good, clear sound. Cons: Slow mechanism and lightweight construction.
This Cd changer was purchased as part of a budget system at Best Buy. The price was quite reasonable for $99.00. The sales person tried selling us a DVD changer for $20 more, but that was not what we wanted. Time for a little rant. If you are in the ...
Pros: The price, the sound, the quality. Cons: It take a while to get use to but its worth the wait.
The price, the price, the price, its a great cd player for only little over a hundred bucks, i spent almost twice as much for my kenwood 5 disc cd changer and it doesn't have as a great sound that this cd player does, it easy to use, its very dependable...
Pros: Price, Sound, Quality of Product Cons: None for the price tag of $115
I have a mid-high end system with an Adcom 565 preamp, and two 565 mono block amps with Dahlquist DQ20 speakers and my Marantz CD Player bit the dust. I want the Adcom CD Player mind you but don't have the $1000 and need something to fill in in the...
Pros: Nice feature set Cons: Shuffle time is ridiculously long.
*********** UPDATE ***********
So I shopped around last nite. Guess what? All of the new CD changers have this incredibly slow random play "feature". I checked out: Denon, Yamaha, Harmon Kardon, Onkyo, Phillips, - I still need to find a JVC...
The features I wanted - Disappointing quality by aquabooks ,Jun 07 '05
Pros: Good features Cons: Won't read every disc
This unit is just what I was looking for. It's almost impossible to find a dedicated 5-CD changer now. Everything tends to be DVD as well. Which is fine, except that many of the features have to be accessed via onscreen menus. So if you're just using it as a CD player, you're SOL. This unit on the other hand is very basic, but has all the features I need to keep the music going in my bookstore. A couple of handy features that many lower end DVD changers don't have are: disc exchange, time remaining, and volume control. The volume control is especially handy since I'm using a 1975 Harmon Kardon amp with a touchy volume knob.
UPDATE:
I am gearing up to return this in favour of a Yamaha CDC-685. As other reviews have mentioned, this is a nice unit with good features but is EXTREMELY fussy about which discs it will play. Not worth the trouble.
Pros: easy set-up; several functions, disc shuffle, all shuffle Cons: NO power "on-off" button on the remote....
I bought this changer for the all-shuffle ability....functions well....DRAWBACK: no "on-off power button" on the remote...what a bummer! The set-up was
very easy...took less than 15 minutes....
