The Hitachi DVP315U offers a well balanced DVD player with a competetive mix of price vs. quality. The DVD player is more than satisfactory for the average user, but yet not too over detailed with un-wanted extra's in an attempt to over mark the price....

I recenetly bought this Hitachi dvd player. It is very easy to hook up and understand how to use. It also has compent ans S-video inputs for future expansion. This dvd player also has a ditital and coxail connection avaliable for other uses also. The picture quality is excellent esspescailly for the price. It does lack buttons on the acuatul dvd player which means most of the things must be controlled by the remote(but this is not a problem) The sound is crisp and clean. Deep in base on the lows and high on the high's. All-in-all i think this is a great dvd player and if you are looking for a dvd player i would seriously consider buying this one.

Player starts out as a quality product, but eventualy you get this error message can not read or no disc in player. Before too much longer, player will not read any disc. And you can guess it is cheaper to trash it than to fix it. Do not buy this player, a real let down from a name such as Hitachi.
