Pros: Ergonomic shape, flexible, external flash capable, standard memory cards Cons: Settings in automatic and program mode not good in low light.
Why get a digital camera anyway? For me it was two main reasons, my need for instant gratification that was whetted by Polaroid then one-hour photo operations and my desire to have more creative control of what I shot than film gave me.
Pros: Fast,famous-quality lens,well-built, flash hot shoe, great menu system uses AA batteries Cons: Limited manual focus, going to manual control to use external flash
I’m blessed. The Epson 3100z has got to be the best bargain digital camera currently selling and I am happy to own one. I know that is a tall claim but read on as I explain. Epson is very quiet about advertising this camera, I don’t know why, but you...
Pros: Ease of use, manual controls, picture quality, ergonomics, standard batteries Cons: rechargeables not included, stuck pixels (2)
I researched buying a digital camera for over one year. At the outset, certain criteria came to mind. I wanted something that would take a standard battery and a standard flash memory as I did not want a problem in years to come obtaining...
Pros: Great image color accuracy and battery life. Cons: Doesn't work as well in full automatic mode.
I've had a PhotoPC 3100z for almost a year now, and only now thought to actually send in a review. Not to mention I haven't contributed to Epinions in such a long time, I'm starting to feel a little guilty...
Pros: Excellent results and fun camera to use Cons: None
Excellent camera. I've had this camera just about 5 months now, and am am very pleased with the results. The construction is very good. After taking a beating during a fall in a forest, the camera not only continued to work, but continues taking great...
Pros: Very easy to handle for point and shoot. Great add on telescopic lenses. Cons: Digital Zoom sometimes leaves pictures fuzzy and might be difficult for beginner.
The body of the camera is very user friendly. The hand molded side is easy to hold onto and take pictures. Very convenient. I bought this camera for a trip to Europe and was not disappointed at all. The quality of the pictures even on medium pixels is...
Pros: Intuitive, efficient battery use, excellent photo quality Cons: Turns off by itself too soon
Our family purchased the 3100Z after reading reviews on CNET. We've had it for 2 months now, and are going photo crazy. It's easy to use, and takes great shots. We went ahead and purchased the Stylus Photo 785EPX printer and boy were we surprised at...
Features compare to camera's costing... by hhuck10_dt3000 ,Jul 18 '02
Features compare to camera's costing a great deal more. Picture quality is excellent, LCD screen is
bright under normal light conditions but is difficult to read in bright daylight situations.
Took a while until I was comfortable with using
available Menu features due to tech. manual learning approach. In fairness, some other
manufacturer's Tech.Manual's appear even more difficult to read and digest.
This is a wonderful camera.
-Good quality pictures for the price.
-Suggest investing in rechargable NiMH batteries. Last twice as long.
-Easy to use.
-Purchase 128meg CF. Enough storage for up to 236 pictures at med resolution.

I'm a professional photog w/over 45 yrs experience. Love the camera and it's simplicity. Wish I had a way of making the large prints which the camera is capable of. 8x10's look real good. Have made some professional assignments using this camera. Does great job. The price is right. I recommend it.

I'm a professional photographer and people are amazed at the quality of the photos taken with the PC3100z. Its easy to use and the controls are simple. Photos are easy to download to the computer and need almost adjustment of the colors. This is an upgrade from the PC850 and they did a nice job on it.
