Pros: Price, weight, size, user friendly, good entry level Mini DV camcorder Cons: No built in light, remote control sold separately with this Palmcorder
Summary: After spending several months researching and comparing Mini DV camcorders, I decided on the Panasonic PV-DV51 Digital Camcorder for it's price, ease of use and brand reliability. While other brands had a slight edge with features, our family has ... read more

Pros: Inexpensive, easy to use Cons: No night vision, no analog video input, no built-in light, battery is weak
Summary: This camera seemed like a good deal to me only to discover that after about my first 15 minutes of recording it stopped and started chewing up the tape. I changed the tape only to chew up the new one. I sent it to Panasonic Services who wanted to ... read more

Pros: Many features for the price. Seems to be high quality/good value. Cons: Menus and controls take time to get used to.

Pros: inexpensive, simple to use, great picture, does what it's supposed to Cons: no built-in light, no memory card capability for digital pictures
Summary: I wasn't really in the market for a new camera although i desperately needed one. My old JVC vhs-c wasn't really cutting it. I saw this camera in the Fry's Electronics add for only $377. That's a must have price so I got it. I'm not interested in all of ... read more

Pros: A good entry level mini-dv camcorder Cons: Doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles
Summary: I have been in the market for a new camcorder for almost a year now. I'm a guy who likes a lot of bells and whistles on my toys. However, I couldn't see forking out $1300+ for a top of the line camcorder.
Recently I saw an ad for this ... read more
