Pros: A great, easy to use digital camera. The manual leaves nothing to chance.
Cons: You won't get to collect those nice little cans that 35mm film came in.
Many years ago, I was deeply in 35mm photography. I had a full gadget bag with several lenses, filters, sunshades, reflectors, flashgun, tripod, exposure meter and of course several different cans of film. I also had a darkroom with an enlarger and all...

Olympus 360L is Best Buy!

by hnlute , Oct 08 '01
Pros: A Great 1.2Mb Digital Camera
Cons: Camedia software not all it could be.
It's hard not to like this camera, sleek, silver with a good set of auto controls, excellent up-close macro ability. We use the 360L for all of our on-line auction photos and it does a great job everytime. Especially good in low light and up close (less...

Great for Beginner... Pass if a Pro

by javadiva , Apr 09 '01
Pros: Price, Ease of Use, Size, LCD Screen
Cons: No Zoom, Software Stinks, Picture Transfer is S-L-O-W
This is a great camera for a beginner to digital pictures. The camera takes sharp, clear pictures up to 5x7. If you ever to make a 8x10 from one of these pictures then pass on this camera. It only shoots up to 1.3 megapixels and you need 2.1 megapixels...

by pritzent , May 02 '00
Pros: Inexpensive and easy to use!
Cons: Eats Batteries if you use the rear viewer a lot.
We were looking for a camera that my 16yr. old son could take on a trip.

It had to be easy to use, inexpensive, as indestructable as possible,
good software, ease of downloading.

With the features that came with the D-360L, we...

Faulty design!!!!
by semazzeo ,Jan 09 '04
Pros: Cheap and easy to use
Cons: Bad design, destine to break down
The door on this camera is what turns it off & on. This door will break and not work within 4-8 months depending on the usage. Do not make the same mistake I did, don't buy this poorly designed camera!!!

Great little camera!
by kennyv281 ,May 12 '04
Pros: price, ease of operation, features, nice looking solid camera
Cons: no zoom lens, flash is a bit weird at times
This was the very first digital camera I purchased. I bought it mainly to take digital pictures of things to go up on eBay. I was surprised as heck at how easy this camera was to operate. For the price, it takes some pretty darn nice photos. The upload feature to the PC is a serial cable but it does a pretty decent job. The Camedia software is also pretty straight forward and easy to figure out. I just recently upgraded to a top notch digital but will always keep this little camera in my collection.

We have had this camera...
by jason_schaitel_dt3000 ,Jul 08 '02
We have had this camera for about 2 years now. We bought it new and have taken literally hundreds of pictures with it. It was a great buy. It has alot of features, I am still learning new things I can do to tap it's full potential. There aren't any XP drivers which is a bummer but then again we used it for almost 2 years before XP existed so no big deal. It does eat batteries, I have had excellent luck with the batteries made for digital camers, $12 for 4 AA's but worth it.

what a suprise this Olympus...
by zego25_dt3000 ,Feb 06 '02
what a suprise this Olympus D-360L is. The pictures are remarkably clear. 1.3 megapixels sounds small but you'd never know it from the pictures you get. It's also easy to use. The menu is intuitive, you can use the viewfinder or the conventional eye-piece, and it's easy to discard photos of those who blink in the middle of the picture. It also has the flash that reduces red-eye. the memory card it came with was enough for more pictures than the specs showed. It's light-weight and compact. It could use some optical zoom power as it only has the one zoom setting that 1/2s the distance to your object, but you dont find yourself missing it much b/c you get all this for a pretty inexpensive price. As with many digital cameras, it eats batteries, so get rechargeables if you mind stocking up on the 4 AA batteries.
