Pros: Excellent features for price Cons: Sound quality not superb, but that's a minor quibble
What I really needed was a simple personal tape player for lecture and other tapes, to replace a now-dead and very expensive Walkman. I certainly didn't want to pay a bundle, since tapes are heading towards passe'.

Pros: Probably the only hand-held (mini) all-in-one out there!
Exceptional quality. Cons: Older version better:
1)included built-inANDstereo-recording, clip-on, plug-in microphone
2)newer has unnecessary second speaker and3)lacks tapecounter!

Pros: It records! Also great reception! Cons: no bias switch, uses normal bias tapes only
I bought this unit about 3 years ago. I was looking for a personal stereo that could record off the radio as well as a built in mic. Most were expensive. But I finally found this Panasonic at J&R music world for $50. It can record right off the radio....

Panasonic RQ-A200 cassette player

Pros: compact, small, speaker ability on cassette player, only one of this size I have found Cons: Not very durable, the three I have owned broke within one year
I have owned three of these players because they are the only device I have found that is compact and small with the speaker/cassette player function. The only problem is that they have all broken within a year of use.
