I have used the RX-6010V for over a year and I am satisifed with it. I use a much more expensive Yamaha stereo receiver for listening to stereo music. The JVC doesn't have the dynamics or clarity of Yamaha reciever for listening to CDs, but the it sounds great for DVD movies with DTS. I would also recommend buying a better receiver for listening to DVD-Audio or SACD formats. I find the rear channels of the JVC sound muddy in Dolby Digital 5.1 mode. The user interface is complicated, but intuitive once you learn how it works (well-written manual). However, the remote control does not allow access to all the adjustments and settings provided by the receiver. For example, you have to press the adjust button on the face of the receiver and scroll through the options to turn on and off the subwoofer channel.
