The SE Stands for Sorry Excuse for a Camera

by lynus Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Sep 03 '01
Pros: cheap digital camera. expensive camera overall however.
Cons: clarity, ease of use, and low cash value. Skip it if possible.
Another $70 down the drain. This is what I get for purchasing a camera on a whim. This is the dangers of walking into your local Wal-Mart without checking out Epinions.com first. From the top, the three worse functions of this camera are: clarity,...

It's got lots of smart features, if you can make out what your shooting.

by kfj001 , Oct 18 '01
Pros: Great features, flash, LCD display,
Cons: Takes really lousy pictures, quick battery drain,
What this is
Polaroid makes a lot of cameras, both digital, and “classic”. Some might argue that they should have stuck with the classic “Instamatic®” cameras of yesteryear. Others would sharply disagree.

This camera is an...

Needs Some improvement

by tater929 , Oct 05 '02
Pros: LCD Display, Flash, Software is easy to use
Cons: No Zoom, only holds 15 pictures, not the best resolution, battery drain,
This digital camera is nice if your going somewhere where you do not intend on taking more than 10 photos. If you are taking this on a long trip you can only take a few photos before you have to hook it up to your pc and unload all the photos. It is...

Not bad, not bad at all

by veganweb , Oct 10 '01
Pros: Decent picture quality for a inexpensive camera
Cons: No where near the quality of other digital cameras
After being burned by the Polaroid 320, I had had enough of cheap digital cameras for a while. Then while walking though Wal-Mart I spotted the Polaroid 640. The price was right (between $60 and $80) if I remember correctly and this one seemed to have...

by iluvbear , Aug 04 '01
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Inexpensive :o)
I am not quite sold on the whole digital camera thing, but there is so much talk about it, I had to find just the right inexpensive model and give it a try.

Now keep in mind, I take about 2-3 rolls of film a week with a very nice SLR camera...

A great digital camera for the kids or first time users.

by susancm , Jan 03 '02
Pros: *very* inexpensive digital camera. Nice for the price.
Cons: Work arounds required for software use. Photo quality is less than stellar.
I bought this camera for my 12 year old daughter who is fascinated with my Fuji finepix 1300. I knew when I saw the bubble plastic packaging not to expect much from this camera, so I wasn't as disappointed with it as some seem to have been.

Not a great camera

by skyking24212 , Dec 16 '02
Pros: Price, ease of use
Cons: Very poor focus, compression of JPG, no data card, bad design of battery cover
I've had my Polaroid Fun! Flash for a year and a half. It was a poor choice of a first digital camera, although the price was right at Walmart (About $79 at the time). The cons are:

1. You can only delete the last photo you have taken....

Pros: It's a cheap way to have digital fun
Cons: Not as clear of a picture as a more expensive camera would take.
The Polaroid Photo Max Fun Flash 640 Digital Camera is great for beginners in this digital world. It's an inexpensive way to have fun. This is a digital camera that is in most everyone's price range at under $100.00. It works great for taking pictures to...

If you own XP, don't buy this camera

by nagaflas , Oct 04 '02
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Will not work with Windows XP
When I used Windows 98, this was a marvelous camera. Then I thought I was doing a great thing by upgrading my system to XP. Big mistake if you wanna use this camera, because it does not work. And that's not even the bad part.

Polaroid outright...

by nerys71 , Jun 23 '02
Pros: Cheap - Lots of features for the price
Cons: Utterly Losuy pictures in extreme.
I bought this hoping it would have similar features to the Fun 320 but at a higher resolution.

It did. It would auto shot as long as you held down the buttom but at 8 second intervals.
