by arlene_dt3000 ,Jun 07 '02
I had gotten my camera for $20 at K-Mart when they closing out inventory. I didn't want to spend a lot and the camera has served it's purpose that I wanted it for; email. It says it stores 18 pictures but I went beyond that on my settings.

Quality is poor. Software will only install on
Windows 95 & 98. Save your money and buy something that can be use on newer computers and at least 480 x 640 picture quality.

by carol_dt3001 ,May 17 '02
The camera is easy to use, the software is terrible! There is supposed to be online help, but the address is non-existent! Don't waste a dime on this camera. If this is how Polaroid runs their business, I will not buy another camera from them. I am looking for a good digital camera and I will not buy one from Polaroid!

You get what you pay for. It's lightweight and easy to use. However I have had problems with the digital camera connecting to my computer (Windows 98) and their supposed "help website" is non-existent!

by shakiki2_dt3000 ,Nov 10 '02
This camera was my mom's boyfriends and he had no use for it so he let me use it a few times before my mom bought my brother and I one for us to use. It took about 20-30 pictures at a time, but, having no flash was a bad spec of this camera. I didn't mind the quality of the camera, but, the software was a little confusing and I accidently deleted a set of pictures that I had taken because of it.

Obviously you get what you pay for, and for less than one hundred bucks you shouldn't have high expectations, but I can barely download pix from the camera to my computer without the system freezing up because of errors! It's extremely frustrating and usually requires re-booting repeatedly. I tried to go to the listed help center (photomaxhelp.com) and it no longer exists! I would avoid this product if you are not very computer saavy, and patient!

by mackerelcove_dt3000 ,Feb 05 '03
Boy, what a mistake it was to fall for the salesmans pitch, he must have been on commission. When I told him that I was really a novice on the computer he told me this was the camera for me! HAH! This camera gave me more grief. Tech support is non existent, the on-line manual is not worth the paper to print it out on. A really bad experience with a really bad camera

by takinitez_dt3000 ,Apr 09 '02
An inexpensive camera, $20 at a warehouse outlet, that gets the job done. It's picture quality is good enough for email and webpages and software is adequate to get your photos from camera to PC. For the price, camera and software is a good buy.

At this price, anyone can...
by mouseabeth_dt3000 ,Apr 12 '02
At this price, anyone can take digital pictures. The software is fun and easy to use. I use it often to take shots of things I find interesting. It is small enough to carry in a pocket, so I always have it with me,and cheap enough that I don't worry about theft or damage. It has held up well. I've had mine for almost a year. I've used it on camping and backpacking trips, at ballgames, shopping trips, school, and everywhere else I've been. One of my favorite uses is "fun shots" of my students at school. It has been rained on, passed around, dropped, and otherwise abused, but, it still works fine.
I like that no memory card or other accessory is needed, except a PC. It does have a limited picture quality. I would not suggest it be used for anything more than hobby type photos, but it is a great way to "record the moment" cheaply.I would recommend it for children or adults who just want to take lots of images without lots of cost.

This camera was a gift...
by grandma_dt3002 ,Apr 24 '02
This camera was a gift to enable me to send pictures to distant family on a regular basis. The quality of the pictures isn't great, but serves my purpose. However, the program has frozen on me twice now and I cannot download the photos from the camera. I found this site while looking for tech support which must not be available. The web address listed with the CD is unavailable. I am not a very computer saavy person, but am tending to think that lots of PC memory is needed. I find the steps to transfer each picture individually to an album cumbersome and time consuming.

Hamilton, Ontario, Canada
I bought this gadget through Ebay and paid quite
a bit considering the exchange rate for us
Canadians. I also had to pay Duty Tax and waited 2 weeks for package to arrive. Altogether, I paid $40.00 but I was able to install the software and see some pics. I haven't saved any yet cause I get an error
message about 'no zviewer.exe'. I guess that's
what's needed to save these. I'll try with
other software and see what happens.
I would recommend anyone else to invest in a quality digital camera @ around $100.
