Pros: Simulates professional machines; portable and easy to use. Cons: I tried but I can't think of one.
When I walked into a client‘s home last week and saw the 6 Second Abs Program my original reaction was to cringe...however. First the details: What is this gizmo? This gizmo is a way, we are told, to do crunches, which are seen and have ...
Pros: Really easy to use. Lightweight. Comes with leaflet and D.V.D. Cons: Don't believe the results in the booklet. They may not be achieved.
About a month ago my Bun & Thigh Max locked up on me. This had happened several times before but Len always fixed it. I remember having taken the extra 1 year warranty for full replacement on it. I paid $9.95 for it. I phoned the 1-800 number ...
Pros: There is some resistance Cons: Costs money, annoying videos, does not live up to the hype
Have you seen the 6 second abs infomercial yet? My sister did and she apparently thought she could get better abs in a matter of six short seconds. The infomercial touts the ability of the gadget to improve your crunches by 15 times over what you do ...
Pros: Great for making crunches easier Cons: Base too small for big guys. Handles awkward. Needs a counter.
I won't reproduce all the claims and specifications. You can visit their website for that. But here are my experiences. I was watching TV late one night when the infomercial came on and I thought it was worth a try. I didn't buy then but did about ...
Pros: Energizing DVD, good instructions, follow the book - diet, cardio, strength program for best results. Cons: Effective as part of a diet & exercise program, not alone
I am currently following the full 6 second ab program -- including the ab workout, cardio-strength workout, additional cardio training (as recommended by the program), and a low-fat, low-calorie diet. After doing this for about a month, I've gone from a ...
I saw this device advertised on infomercials, thought it might have some merit, but doubted it was worth the asking price. So...I bought it on Ebay for $45.98 including shipping. First time I used it, I followed the video & next day had some soreness ...
Pros: Fairly easy, resistance a plus, videos work you Cons: some crunches are awkward or difficult, not as effective as stated
Ok, the other review on here says there's no way to lose a size in a week doing the crunches- which is true. What they don't tell you on the commercials is that the "lose a pant size in 7 days" is a program that involves doing 1-2-or 3 videos that ...
Pros: easy to use, can be used sitting up or lying down Cons: a little up there in price
When I first saw the 6 second abs commercial I wanted to give it a try, although I was skeptic about trying it because I have always stuck to the traditional way which is crunches. When I finally received it I gave it a try. And believe it or not I like ...
Pros: Easy to use, good for beginners, good for habit forming Cons: Does not deliver; NO real challenge; Overpriced; Shipping = rip-off (from 6SecondAbs)
I have been using the 6-second-Abs for 3 months now. Here are my two cents. I have TWO good things to say about this device: (1) If you do the crunches lying down on the floor (use a mat, or your back will kill you) or on the bed, you will REALLY feel ...
Pros: Lightweight, comfortable, adjustable, easy to operate, videos are not annoying to me Cons: pinches underside of arms, hurts thighs without additional padding
I recently purchased the 6 second abs after viewing an infomercial on tv. As of now I really like the product except for the fact that I keep getting pinched on the underside of the arm when going for that 3rd click. The remedy for that is to drape a ...
Pros: Workout abs sitting up watching TV Cons: Not enough resistance
I bought this at Target for $29 so was a great price. I liked that you could sit up and watch TV why working out your abs. I used it for about 2 weeks and never felt any soreness in my ab area to let me know it worked. I went back to my trusty ab roll equipment(even though I have to do them on the floor).
The booklet says that you can buy a red resistance band which gives the most resistance but I didn't bother. I didn't want to buy something I can not return since I can still return this one to Target for a full refund. It would have been nice if they could have included all the bands (yellow=light, orange=medium, red=heavy) instead of just the yellow and orange.
I'm going back to my ab roller. I can really feel my abs getting a work out when I used those.
Very disappointing, very expensive waste of time by piemanacct ,Jan 10 '05
Pros: None Cons: Expensive, cheap design, no resistance.
It's a great concept although resistance is almost useless. I'm in my mid-thirties and, although reasonably fit, have never been able to pull off hundreds of crunches mainly because of back problems when doing them. Here was a solution which claimed to get around this.
When I first got the unit, I gave it a go and found the resistance almost unnoticeable. I opened the front, replaced the yellow bands with the "heavy duty" orange ones and tried again - again, almost nothing.
At 6 seconds a rep, a set of 10 takes 1 minute. I can do 10 minutes without feeling a thing.
15 times as effective as crunches? I think not. Am currently trying to get my money back.
Pros: dont buy this product its a waste of time and money! Cons: dont buy this product its a waste of time and money!
i bought six second abs about a month and a half ago and was dissapointed by the quality and unusfulness of the product i shipped it back within a week of receiving it and to this day i have not received my refund and when i call them they keep telling me they havent received it. they make theyre money from the shipping and by ripping people off like me. if anyone who is reading this shipped the item back and havent received theyre refund email me at mastapimpkid@msn.com im trying to get as many people that they scammed to maybe file a lawsuit or petition against them
Well, with the "extra cost" of shipping and the higher resistance red bands, etc, my bill came to $120. Also the resistance of any of the bands is a joke. I am 50 years old and haven't done a crunch in 20 years. The manual says to select the proper bands you should be able to do more than 6 reps but not more than 10 reps. I did some 50 reps with the highest resistance until I got bored and I wasn't even a little sore the next day. It did allow me to wear tighter pants though, but that's because my wallet's thinner.
