Pros: Great animal appeal Cons: None
I care for rescued animals, feral cats, raccoons, squirrel, opossum. They got table scraps, kibble and often 9Lives when the price was right. Oddly enough this good name brand was often cheaper than the store brands at places like Wal Mart. 9Lives ...

Pros: Now vitamin enhanced formula, own dish. Cons: Usually left overs.
Oh I am the first one to write an epinion on this. How cool is that.
If you have read previous Epinions on pet related products you'll know that I have three picky kitties. If you didn't, you do now. I gave 9Lives can cat food a try...

Food & price good, pull-tab awful
by gypsycat ,Feb 23 '05
Pros: Lots of liquid for cats with urinary problems (cats who won't drink enough). Cons: Bring pliers or vice-grips to the counter. Can is way too hard to open.
GREAT PRICE on all 9Lives varieties. I love that, because I help feed feral cats until they can be captured (and cut!). My own two cats even like the food. The chunks are not rubbery, as with Fancy Feast, so if you have to put a pill in it, it is do-able. However, opening the cans is another matter, and so I do not buy the food for my own cats. I am an average woman of good strength and yet struggle to open a can. 9Lives must have all male testers, is all I can figure. I'm waiting for the day I spill the contents on myself or wind up with a slashed hand because of the difficulty. No other cat food makers make it that tough to open their cans. 9Lives, wise up, please! I promise, I'll stop buying Fancy Feast if you make your cans easier to open.
