Pros: Screen, Battery, Performance, Reliability, Price and DVD drive.
Cons: 256Mb RAM, scratchable silver color.
Hi, Firstly bear with me for a moment while I tell you of my previous notebook experience! I have had 3 notebooks before the Acer. I have had two Pioneer notebooks that were absolutly useless, loud, unreliable and heavy - then I got an iBook through ...

My first Laptop
by janice399 ,Nov 15 '05
Pros: light weight Comes with backup CD's and XP. Well documented and supported.
Cons: case gets scratched just going inside the carry case.
I have had many desktops but never consider a laptop worthwhile. If I had known they were as nice as this low end Acer, all I would ever have is a laptop. This Acer goes to any place I have to wait and entertains me. It will play movies or internet shop all done easily. It is largely a toy for me so an expensive laptop is not sensible. I really don't think I would be any happier with an expensive laptop. I did not upgrade the memory and don't have any problem with the programs I run. I am not using Excel or Access but do use Word which runs fine.

Acer Aspire 3613WLCi -- Nice laptop for business and some moderate games
by hermanlee95 ,Dec 23 '05
Pros: Light, thin, bright screen, good for presentation, play some games, professional looking.
Cons: Battery only 1-2hrs max w/low setting. No firewire, memory card reader,DVD burner nor bluetooth.
I got this laptop for free, actually I won it from my company's party. I was planning to buy HP DV4000 before, but since I got this one for FREE. I decided to give it a try first :) ...lucky me.
After using it for a few days, I found out that this laptop is good enough for business user or casual gamer that don't require heavy duty graphic (exactly what I need, business & fun!!).
So far I've only installed Medal of Honor, Call of Duty and it plays very good in low setting, okay in medium setting and playable but not so smooth in high setting.
Mine comes with this spec: Celeron M-1.5Ghz,60GbHDD,512MbRAM,802.11b/gwireless,15.4WXGAscreen,4 cell battery.
I like the look, it seems made from plastic, but it looks sturdy and nice. I only had it for few day, so I need to use it more to find out about the quality. It has a bluetooth button on the front but actually that's just a dummy, it has no bluetooth device.
I really recommend this budget laptop for early users or basic uses.
