Pros: cute machine, if it worked
Cons: freezes, zero customer support from ACER

I got this machine today. It was a nice, clean machine, no viruses (I did not install anything and the machine was not connected to the internet yet).

Suddenly it froze (more precisely a system process occupying 100% of the CPU started making the machine unusable). I reboot. Machine works. In few minutes it freezes again. Reboot - freezes - reboot.

I search the internet (on my desktop machine) for "ACER C314 freezes", "ACER C312 freezes" and "ACER C310 freezes". Seems I am not alone with the same problem. One posting says: "If you inadverently touch the memory stick dummy on the right hand side of the machine it freezes."

Reboot. Machine works. Touch the memory stick dummy, machine freezes. Call ACER technical support. Absolutely non-helpful (spoke with Stan around 5pm EST). Stan says he never heard of the problem, and his supervisor didn't hear of any freezing problems too. Yeah, right - just search the internet for "ACER C314/C312/C310 freezes" to see how many people are affected.

I am sending mine back and will never ever buy ACER again (I don't need technical support which IMHO lies (or is not informed))!
