Pros: Great price and performance! Cons: It can overheat if you over-clock it!
The Athlon XP 2100 is the last of the processors using the Palomino 0.18 micron core, the XP 2200 has the Thoroughbred 0.13 micron core. The XP 2100 runs like it is running at 2100 MHz but in reality it is only a 1.73 GHz processor. AMD has always...

A great processor - fast, durable, and inexpensive
by radzhome ,Nov 30 '04
Pros: - fast - inexpensive - durable Cons: - none
I had this CPU for 2 years now, and I am impressed with its overall performance. My computer is on literally 24-7, and I never had a problem with it. I run it overclocked as a 2700XP processor and it handles very well. This is one of the best AMD CPU's that I have owned, (1700xp,1800xp, 2000xp, 2400xp, 2600xp). I would recommend this CPU over a pentium any day. It is more productive then a 2.1GHZ P4.
