Pros: Dirt cheap. Rock solid. 1MB L2 Cache. Decent stock heatsink and fan. Cons: Becoming quickly outdated.
Please Note: In this review I compare the AMD Athlon 64 3700+ to a variety of AMD and Intel processors, both new and old. When I mention “in its class” I am referring to other Socket 939 Athlon 64s (AMD) and Socket 478/Socket LGA 775 Pentium 4 (Intel) ...

Pros: Very fast and stable. Cons: You need at least 2 G Byte of RAM
Very easy to get up and running, big improvement on the AMD 2800 . You notice the 1 Meg Cache and that it cooler than earlyer models.

AMD hit the bullseye with this one!!!!!!

Pros: Runs fast, cool, easy to install. Cons: none
My first experience with an AMD 64 bit processor has been pure joy. I purchased it through ZipZoomFly and recieved it within 3 days of the order, which is pretty phenomenal for my living in Alaska. I had to wait a month to place my order for the ASUS motherboard, PCI Express video card and 1Gig Corsair RAM kit, all ordered from ZipZoomFly and all arrived within 3 days of ordering. When all the components were assembled, the pc ran like a top, and still does. I've since added a heatpipe, the ThermalTake Tower 112, to the processor for cooling. The performance is nothing less than startling. CPU idle temp is the same as system temp, 30C. What makes this so incredible is the fact that the CPU would be hotter if I held it in my hand, i.e. 98.6F. (30C = 86F) I recommend the AMD line of 64 bit processors, but especially the SanDiego core versions.
