Poor quality control

Pros: Cordless Cons: Poor quality, Doesn't sit flat on base or counter.
When we got the kettle home, it didn't sit properly on the base or counter making it dangerous to use. The kettle has a cheap feel to it. Returning it ASAP. I think this may be another case where made in China is synonymous with made without quality control.

Smells Funny

Pros: Heats fast Cons: Smells funny.
We have two of these kettles in our office. I like how quickly they heat up, but unless I get the water out as soon as it is through heating, the water and kettle develop this terrible sweet smell.
