Pros: Very portable. No heat. Excellent battery life. Bright, clear screen. Cons: PGDN/PGUP/Home/End are not dedicated keys. Touchpad very sensitive. Two hotkeys' functions cant be changed.
I bought this PC because my main laptop is an HP dv9500t, an 8+ pound, 17" behemoth, and lugging it back and forth from the library was not only a burden because of all my books but packing it up was a pain as well. This new ASUS EeePC solves that ...
Pros: Diminutive size, keyboard layout, relatively light weight, good screen size, smart price Cons: Small keyboard and touchpad, but only for people with large hands
I won't bore you with too many of the specifications on this machine, but will instead focus on its featers and usability.I obtained if from Amazon.com for the price of $374.00 and there were no shipping charges. It comes loaded with the Windows ...
Pros: Portability, price, battery life, great screen, decent keyboard Cons: prone to smudges, laggy touchpad
Introduction After putting together my desktop last winter, I realized there was little point in keeping my old laptop, an Acer Aspire 5672. That model was designed to be a 'desktop replacement'. Although it was a good value at the time ...
Pros: Excellent performance and battery life in the most usable Netbook yet! Cons: Low audio volume, dropped frames in HD playback.
The Netbook market has really taken off in ways many thought unlikely. The presumption that users wouldn't flock to low-cost, moderate performance ultra portables because there had never been a market for such systems before has clearly been affected by ...
Pros: Good value and performance. Cons: Nothing significant.
We bought this netbook mostly for surfing the web and checking e-mail from the sofa or kitchen. Our workhorse laptop is just a bit too heafty and power-hungry, so it was always plugged in.The 1000HE is really incredible - we can run it for ...
Pros: 'Chicklet' keys, battery life (9-hours), speed, easily upgradable RAM, weight, size. Cons: Native resolution of 1024x600 (you have to change resolutions when attaching external monitor).
I live in Mississauga, Ontario (burb of Toronto) and in Canada, we tend to have a little less selection when it comes to electronics. We have a good selection, but sometimes it's not great.I had gone in to buy a MSI Wind, mostly because I'm a ...
Pros: Price, size, hard drive Cons: Not for everyone, might have looked a little bit better
An excellent choice for those, who want to carry their laptop everywhere. Of course, this is a not replacement for your desktop. The performance is comparable to those with much higher prices. I have tested the previous versions, Intel Atom 280 ...
Pros: 3 usb slots, bluetooth, big keyboard, impressive battery, Surprisingly powerful processor, Multimedia card slot Cons: Intergrated graphics limit the video quality that can be played smoothly

Incredibly handy. Very affordable. by lmcasey ,May 30 '09
Pros: Small. Adequately powerful. Great battery life. Cons: Not the best for power-apps.
The 1000HE has similar performance as almost all other netbooks using the Atom processor. It's advantage lies in it's battery life and it's price. I find the battery to last an honest six hours which is a few hours longer than the laptops I've owned. The performance is sufficient for light tasks but this is not a great computer for power users; the processor just is not fast enough for crunching huge spreadsheets for instance. Web surfing, email, and othe light-duty stuff (i.e. 95% of what most people do) are tackled quite well. The price (about $375) is affordable by most.
Pros: light, powerfull, long long battery life, ultra portible, web cam, decent range with WiFi Cons: no cd or dvd drive
edit: 1000HEB (not the 1000HE) excellent buy on sale for $350. make sure you dont get fooled by the same box with a different processor. make sure u get the Intel Atom processor. i almost bought a 2nd computer advertised on target on sale for 319.99 and some one wrote a review that warned of a different, significantly slower processor. WiFi has decent range (i can get 2 bars from router in basement on the 2nd floor).
i got it primarily for Skype for the kids and grandparents to free up my 17 laptop. however, i fell in love with it and am looking for another one for me.
