Pros: Fast clock speed, 256MB DDR3 Memory, PCIe/AGP, Multiple outputs Cons: Difficult to tweak if you don't know graphics terminology
The X700 is one of the new "X" series cards released by ATI. It is technically a Radeon, but sporting a new name (and some cool new features), it is way better than its predecessors. The X700 Pro, powered by the RV410 chip (the one of this family ...

Pros: awesome graphics Cons: it might be hard to find in some stores
This is the best video card for $200. It plays BF2 on high setings. You don't have to waste $400 or more for other video cards because this one will give you the perfomance for less money.

A powerful graphics card and the price just keeps getting better
by naneville ,Dec 27 '05
Pros: Powerful graphics at an outstanding price Cons: None
I bought the X700 PRO from Best Buy for $100 ($200 minus $100 rebate). I recently saw it advertised at COMPUSA for $129 without a rebate. Let me say that this is one powerful card. I have an e-machine T3256 with an AMD XP 3200 processor and 1 gig of RAM. My old video card, a Radeon 9550 which is still a good card, had problems running some newer programs like Call of Duty 2 at 1024 X 768 without lag. With the X700 PRO I run all my programs at 1280 X 1024 X 32 (my monitor being the limiting factor) without any lag what so ever. This card also has a high definition output (720p or 1080i) that can be hooked to a HDTV or HD monitor. Everything needed to hook it up is included in the box. I have mine hooked to a Sanyo HT30744. The X700 PRO is a powerful graphics card and reasonably priced.
