Pros: Support by the Microsoft HCL Cons: None at this time.
I build my own computers, which has proved to be a mixed blessing. On the one hand, I am free to choose my own components, in which to install inside my boxes, thereby holding down costs. But on the other hand if something goes wrong I have...
Pros: Excellent DVD decoding/playback, rich colors and setup. Cons: None.
When I considered building my new computer I find that the ideal computer for me is a total entertainment machine. So I went out and searched for an ideal video card that¡¦s just right for in-home entertainment, not video editing or 3D graphical images....
Pros: Cheap, good for movies Cons: Renders effects poorly
The installation was easy as I have had lots of experience with hardware. The drivers worked fine and I had no problems; just popped it in and installed drivers and I was done. Since I bought the card mainly for gaming purposes I was expecting some...
Pros: AGP technology, frees other slots for other boards, a real plus in some systems Cons: little support offered on line
I purchased one to free a PCI slot in my ASUS P5 A-B mobo and was happy to get it. I use win98 se oem. It required a full HD format and reinstall of the OS afterwards due to conflicts, a download of a whole new driver set, and reload of a more recent...
Radeon 7000 is a waste of time by rand48809 ,Jan 19 '05
Pros: The box had a neat picture on it. A/V (RCA) output is nice Cons: Everything!! This is a card I would give this to my worst enemy.
I bought this as an upgrade to my onboard video. It was sluggish and had horrible 3D graphics. 2D ws tolerable, but I benchmarked the 7000 32MB PCI against my Intel 4MB and my Intel was about 20% faster. This card has had problems since its introduction and the only people who like it are people who don't have the priveledge of using a better card. Pay for a higher Radeon model, or go with Nvidia. The 7000 is a waste of shelf space. It is about as fast as an ATI rage fury with half the memory. This card is pathetic. Do yourself a favor and get something more stable and more reliable. I hear the problem has a lot to do with the drivers bottlenecking the efficency, and ATI hasn't written a driver that will let it work to its full potential. Good luck finding a suitable video card.
