Pros: Phone, PDA, Music Player, 3 G Internet all in one Cons: Bulky compared to a regular phone, pricey
This is the holy grail of mobile devices. There is not another product, that is subsidized by a major carrier, that offers the following: Windows Mobile 5.0, High Speed 3 G internet access, International Voice and Data Capabilities. 2 Megapixel Camera ...
Pros: Gadget, Clear and loud conversations, car charger not included. Cons: Slow, Expensive plans to get full use, separate charge for text versus data (internet)
This is my first pocket computer/PDA device ever. My review is from someone going from a standard Nokia 3120 (phone with an alarm and calendar) to this new Cingular 8525 pocket PC with Windows Mobile 5.0. The most similar item that I own is a Navaman ...
Pros: Ease of use, expansion friendly, fast service, easily unlocked. Cons: Bulky, Short Battery life, Stock Operating System and programs are lacking.
The year? 2007. My wife was notoriously standing over my shoulder tapping her foot as I plugged away on my desktop reading and responding to emails. Checking RSS feeds, and responding to blogs and forum messages. She had a laptop that I ...
Pros: Feature RICH, PDA functionality, decent phone reception, good battery life, expandable & customizable. Cons: Jack of all trades -- master of none (cliche but true); expensive, especially with dataplan.
After several weeks of research online, comparing this phone to 8125, Blackberry Curve/Pearl & various Treos, I found this to be the best PDA phone on the market today. It's got a huge 2.8" QVGA screen slide out qwerty keyboard (blue backlight) and runs ...
Pros: Qwerty keyboard, Voice activated dialing works well, customizable buttons for simplicity. 3G if available. Cons: Big, heavy, different from anything your used too. Expensive.
I am a manager of a Cingular store. I have only been working for Cingular for about 1 year. I had never before seen the point in text messaging. (why push 50 buttons to get my point across, when i can push 7 and talk to you). However that is how ...
Pros: Everything in one place, and functionally! Cons: Not perfect, but as good as you can get right now.
I had been waiting for a true "All-in-one" smart phone that had: Phone Camera HTML Web Browsing WIFI Full Keyboard PDA MP3 Player This phone fills all of those roles well! I have been using it for a couple of months, and do far I am happy ...
Pros: Free Upgrade to Windows Mobile 6
Excellent Keyboard
Bluetooth Stereo Support
Wi-Fi, plus Wireless
Cons: Thicker than most wireless phones
Battery may drain quickly if you stay constantly connected.
Most of the PDA user experience is based on software, instead of hardware, but I'll try to focus on this hardware device instead of the Windows Mobile operating system. The phone feels great in the hand, but it seems a little too thick when you put ...
Pros: Truly international, excellent reception, clear calls, well made, good for light browsing Cons: New model in pipeline (current model lacks HSDPA, videocalling and Windows Mobile 6).
UPDATE In discussions with AT&T they claim 8525 has HSDPA upgrade. Will add to review when I get back to US and can check this out. I bought my 8525 in San Francisco 2 weeks back. I had tried to decide between it and Treo in NY and WI but neither ...
Pros: Battery life, dial, push email Cons: Week PCU and RAM, keyboard backlight problem, weak signal indoor and choppy 3G coverage.
This is just a mini review of my two weeks experience with this phone. Long review will be posted later... This is a good PDA but not exciting at all given that I have been using XV6600 (from the same manufacturer, HTC) with verizon data service ...
Pros: Loads of features, Windows Mobile included- very familiar look and feel- Word/Excel work great. Cons: EXPENSIVE! I paid $506.00 for mine- Cheaper with data package, RE: an extra $40.00/month.
Expensive, but great buy! As a tech-driven person, the typical cell phone, mp3 player, digital camera, and scads of notes lining my purse were becoming a real drag. No Longer! I tried another pda-style phone, but was disappointed with the spreadsheet ...
Pros: Does nearly everything a standard computer can do, very powerful PDA with wifi capability. Cons: Doesn't work worth a dang as a phone. It's a big bulky too.
This thing has all the bells and whistles, but is no good as a phone! I moved up from my V3 RAZR for this thing. WiFi, big screen, windows mobile 5, cool! After a month of trying it out, I had to switch back. Why? It was completely horrible as a ...
Pros: Great idea. Has all the functions I want in one package. Cons: So unreliable that it is worthless.
If this phone worked, I'd love it. Schedule is great, the handwriting recognition is fun, sound quality is good, spreadsheet is nice. Unfortunately, it is a piece of junk. The first one, the Speaker crackled and it dropped calls a lot. The "sort" ...
If you enjoy having every piece of technology right in the palm of your hand everywhere you go then this is the right device for you. I bought this phone about six months ago and it was one of the best phones out. It was also one of my best investments ...
Pros: Does an excellent job with e-mail and attachments Cons: Does a poor job on phone calls. You keep inadvertently hanging up on the caller
The Smartphone does a good job with e-mail, attachments, and contacts. It is very poor on phone calls. When you pick up the phone you will touch one of the many buttons around the edge and hang up on the caller. If you are a traveling salesman like I am and charge the phone at the only outlet available which is near the hotel bathroom sinks you will void the warranty. The back is so poorly sealed that any water spilled on the counter will get into the back and turn the void dot red. I would also never use the phone in the rain for the same reason. AT&T has done an excellent job assuring that they will never have to stand behind their top of the line product
This PDA has many great features, but Windows Mobile is buggy and inefficient. With the low amount of RAM this PDA often delays for 20 seconds at a time, or freezes and needs a restart (which takes 2 minutes). The alarm is not reliable and the interface is often clunky.
That said, I do enjoy having the option of adding applications when I want, viewing Windows Office files, taking photos and surfing the web.
If you don't need Windows, I strongly suggest getting a Palm, Blackberry or Apple.
HTC Touch HD Smartphone Enjoy music videos, films and streaming like you never thought possible on a mobile device. Experience internet browsing so exhilarating it feels like...
