Pros: Stirs up the necessary religiousity pot for valuable discourse. Cons: Leaves too many "how" questions--but more books are available to fill in the gap.

Pros: explores interesting topics Cons: religious words may be hard to understand
I had to read this book for my ministry class. I thought it had a lot of good points that would inspire real thinking and searching for a real relationship with Christ. There are a lot of things that one could reflect on and improve their life with. But there were some things in there that I thought were false. I don't think that the whole modernity, postmodernity is the big issue. I could get into my opinions, but that is another essay. LOL. Basically the book was interesting, and had good points, but I would read it with caution.
Pros: Good story, helpful, not too preachy Cons: assumes that the post modern view is the better view
I first read about this book in a newsletter from Christ for the Nations, and it sounded interesting so I ordered it from Amazon. It took me about a week to read through it at work. I even think I will pick up the next book by Brian Mclaren.
