Acoustic Research AR PSC25 Center Speaker

Pros: Build quality, no distortion, decent bass & mids.

Pros: Price, value, size
Cons: Inaccurate sound, inefficient

When I bought this, I was on a budget and for $90 this was by far the best. It sounded as good or better than all the other centers up to about a $150 and still competed with many $200 units. That being said you can pick up some $200 units that sound like $500 ones. This center has pretty good bass and can play relatively loud on its own, and carry all ranges. Accuracy leaves something to be desired and it's quite a bit more power hungry than my Klipsch SF-2 mains. All in all its a very good value, perfect for me since I basically bought as a temporary speaker until I upgrade to all Klipsch speakers.

Sounds great!! compare this with sony and pioneer center speakers and you'll see this one comes out on top!! pair this with other AR speakers and your set....remember this is not for a $4000 surround system but for the average home user its great

A great center for its price, nice solid cabinate also in a rich black finish. Speaker has enough weight to stay in place on top of my TV. From what I can tell it has good clean sound better that a lot that I had looked at in stores. Al in all I am very satisfied with it for a center speaker.

I managed to buy this center channel on clearance at a local shop for 60 bucks, I was in dire need of a center and the price sounded good, I was abit sceptical about it being anything of good quality for how much i was paying, I was proved wrong, it may not be the best center channel I have heard but it diffinitely performs for its price, the only problem I have is it seems abit scratchy at higher volumes, I've never owned my own center channel before so I can not be a pure hard core judge, but over all I can not complain, for the price its a wondeful little center channel that fills my surround system nicely.
