Pros: meeting rooms, one never really needs to go out of the hotel Cons: inconvenient to shopping and offsite restaurants, noisy, getting shabby
Oh, yeah: another conference, another Adam's Mark hotel. At least for once, it's not in Texas - this time I'm at the Adam's Mark of Western New York in the scenic city of Buffalo. Truth be told, Adam's Marks are not among my favorite hotels. I'm ...
Pros: Convenient to highway ramps and main walking streets. Clean and attractive building. Cons: Surly desk staff, absent baggage handlers, no genuine concierge, mediocre restaurant.
I stayed at the Adam's Mark Buffalo-Niagra hotel over the 4th of July weekend while attending my cousin's wedding. The hotel is nice enough, but less than I'd expect from a higher-end hotel. Granted, $148 a night isn't all that much, but it's 2 to 3 ...
Pros: There's a little shop off the lobby staffed by a delightful woman. That's about it. Cons: Unsanitary shower/bed; poor security; uncaring staff
Perhaps the walk from the Buffalo convention centre to the hotel should have offered clues. Past a rather large "Holding Center" (jail), several court buildings, a large Sheriff's office, a multitude of law offices, then crossing busy streets with ...
Pros: Close to HSBC arena Cons: Miserable customer service
This place really is the last word in poor customer service. I was in town for the hockey game. When I returned to my room at 10:00PM I discovered that my room was over the hotel bar and a very loud band.I asked to be moved but was turned down. The front desk claimed that the hotel was full.I was assured that the music was ending at midnight.Midnight came and went, with the band still going strong.I was angry, when in frustration, I called the front desk at 1:30AM.I was told that the band's contract was to play until 2:00 AM and no,we don't have another room for you.At 2:00AM the the music finally stopped. In the morning at checkout I asked to speak to the hotel manager but was was told he was unavailable.Only the customer's credit card is important at the Adams Mark Buffalo, not the customer.
