Pros: Wireless! Cons: Poor range, poor sound after ¾ volume and not enough watts!
The Advent AW810 speaker is made for indoor and outdoor use without the use of any speaker wires. You connect the speaker to any audio device of your choice like a radio, CD player, TV and any thing else you can think of.
Pros: Easy to use, highly portable, weather resistant, sound acceptable at low volumes Cons: Sound barely adequate at higher volumes, not much power, signal can be a little flaky
I have a 300 CD collection that’s gone mostly unheard for several years. It’s not that we don’t ha ...
Pros: Wireless Cons: Transmission/Reception quality. Difficult set up.
I'm not satisfied with my Advent AW810 900 MHz wireless speaker. I was thrilled with the idea of a wireless speaker that could be connected to my main stereo and then put wherever I might want to have music play. However, almost nothing about this ...
Pros: Wireless and reliable. Cons: None for the price. I own two.
The normal bad response about wireless products is the same here as anywhere. If you turn up the source volume first and then worry about the volume on the wireless end the sound quality improves tremendously and the hissing is gone.
I run my two speakers from the front of the house to one location out by the pool and one location in the bedroom. Both run off my office pcs mainly for internet radio access. They work flawlessly once the signal is dialed and the volume on the pc is turned up.
Pros: Works ok when it works Cons: Two units failed in same manner - no power to transmitter
I purchased the unit initially about 18 months ago. After 9 months of use, the transmitting unit stopped working because of a faulty connection between the plug-based AC transformer and the transmitting unit. I returned the unit to the manufacturer, who replaced it at no charge (although I was out $15 for shipping the unit back). And it took 4 weeks to get the new unit back. The new unit worked for about 2 months, and then failed in the same way. For some reason, the transformer plug that goes into the transmitting unit does not make a good connection. With no way to get power to the transmitting unit, I have a $100 pile of junk. The company is replacing the unit again, but I will still be without a unit for 4 to 5 weeks.
This item worked about 30 seconds and then the speaker just stopped for no reason. The sound wasn't all that bad had it kept working. I tried to call the support line, don't bother.
Apparently "Advent" and a few other companies mentioned on the hold line were bough out by another company.
This is apparently a poorly designed product, run Forest run.
Not Recommended.

Pros: Wireless concept is a great idea.
Cons: The reliability of this product is totally unacceptable.
I received my wireless speaker as a gift. I thought it was a great idea. The first one I received made sound for less than 1 second. I sent it back and received a new one a few days later. I followed the set up instructions and got sound for about 5 seconds before it too stopped working. I am very disappointed with two out of two speakers failing. The transmitter is performing as the instructions call for and the speaker unit shows a green light indicating that it is properly tuned to the transmitter but no sound again!
product easy to set up but control knobs are small and hard to use. Transmission of sounds, deteriorates as distance increases, even at much shorter distance than advertised. I am disappointed in my first wireless speaker. Look for something with more sound for the buck.
