Pros: Easy to inflate, deflate Cons: It is not your bed
I had a relative call the other day asking to stay the night. I said sure without thinking that I did not have a comfortable place for him to sleep. That is when I remembered that my neighbor had one of those inflatable beds. I called my neighbor up...
Pros: Speedy inflation and deflation; long electric cord; comfort pure comfort. Cons: Light-weight composite seems flimsy.
Sleeping on air never entered my mind as a possible pastime. A recent visit with relatives put the old adage, “Fish and houseguests begin to stink after three days,” to the test. We planned a full week of reminiscing, rough housing and recreation while...
Pros: Comfortable sleeping alternative to a folding bed or cot Cons: Not as easy to put away as the commercial indicates
Probably everyone has seen the television commercials for the AeroBed, self inflating bed. Just take it out of it's carrying bag and plug it in and presto a bed for any visitor. Actually it's really that simple.
Pros: Convenient, easy to use and stores well Cons: Mattress is a bit on the lumpy side; not very firm
Indeed, my parents got rid of my old bed after I left the house and it was clear their son was gone. Mom got a nice office out of my freshly-renovated room. My Wife and I got this blasted air mattress to sleep on when we visit my folks.
Pros: Inflates easily Cons: Hot, uncomfortable, and a bad nights sleep guaranteed!
We bought a full size Aero Bed about two years ago, because we were going to go visit our son and his wife, and they didn't have a spare bed. The advertisements for this product led me to believe that you could have a decent night's sleep. This was far...
Pros: easy to inflate, easy to deflate, space saver Cons: not the best for tall people
When we first moved to a place of our own we realized we didn't have anywhere for my husbands daughter to sleep. I knew my friend had the aero bed cause he slept on it while we lived with him before my son was born. Well, I called and asked to borrow it...
Pros: inflates/deflates quickly; comfortable; adjustable firmness levels; uses standard sheets; requires little space for storage Cons: not so easy to get back in the bag; price
We only have company a few times out of the year so having a complete guest bedroom to heat and cool seemed to us a waste of space. I got the bright idea one day that I needed a place to do my once-in-a-blue-moon crafts/scrapbooking and our daughter ...
Pros: Adjustable comfort, quick setup, flannel cover, extra sleeping solution Cons: plastic parts could easily break, could puncture with sharp objects
I had been looking at and thinking about getting an Aerobed for some time before I actually purchased one. When I saw it presented as the special of the day on QVC, I knew the time had come to take the plunge!
Pros: Deflates quickly Cons: Cheap parts that break easily; bed does not stay firm
Boy, I had such high hopes for this product. It was advertised in a variety of catalogs right before Christmas, and I just couldn't resist getting one. What a great thing to have when people come to visit!
Pros: High quality Cons: Noisy, difficult to deflate, very heavy, not practical, some stability issues
I bought the Raised Aerobed from an infomercial a few months ago. For some strange reasons, those corny infomercials always end up convincing me to buy something, which of course, is not always useful. The Raised Aerobed is an excellent example of a not ...
Pros: comfortable, inflates quickly, deflates really quickly Cons: too small for those who are tall, heavy, a little wiggly, leaks, loud, not pretty
MY AEROBED: I bought a Raised Aerobed Twin from overstock.com. That meant I got a bed, a Aerobed duffel bag for storage, and instructions in English. That's it. Thats all I got---no special warranties, repair systems etc. I just went for the cheapest of ...
Pros: Easy to carry and inflate, comfy, fun to play with! Cons: Noisy (if you move a lot when you sleep), stretches.
I first slept on an Aerobed when I slept at a friend's house a few years ago. With the lines and the cover that she had put on it, it was quite cozy. My only complaint was that it was not as hard as I would have liked - I'm used to sleeping on a...
Pros: Deflates and rolls up compactly to store inside included bag, adjustable firmness Cons: Unless inflated until firm it tends to be unstable, noisy to re-inflate at night.
We needed a spare bed for out of town guests, one that was comfortable yet easily store-able. Reading reviews of the different types available -- inflatable mattresses, or fold up cots, or traditional mattress and box spring sets -- convinced me that the ...
Pros: inflates and deflates in seconds, great for back problems Cons: I always hit my knee on the motor that sticks out of the end
Since I spend about 18 hours in front of a computer daily, my back was just shredded. I have literally had days where I attempted to get up out of my chair and couldn't straighten up without a huge surge of pain running down my sciatic nerve! Since I...
Pros: Portable, inflates/deflates quickly & effortlessly, stores easily, softer than the floor. Cons: Noisy, medium grade plastic/rubber, short, expensive, deflates slowly overnight.
*** Overview ***
You've seen this on TV and now in the stores. It's an inflatable air mattress that has been around for years prior to Imaginair's model but the major difference is instead of blowing up the mattress through a tiny beach...
Ok the bed isn't all that the advertisement says (what is?) but it is a useful item in certain situations. I wouldn't buy it for normal home use. It just isn't that comfortable. But it is a wonderful item to have if you travel to friends and family ...
Pros: Convenient and surprisingly solid Cons: The plastic makes you sweat.
We got the queen size Aerobed mattress at Costco for $99.99, which was quite a bit less than we saw it at other places It might have been a different model, but we saw it for over $200.00 some places, with the same features and a pump that looks the...
Pros: This bed is a cute concept. Cons: Complex construction is prone to leaks and is unstable.
As an owner of several Aero Products, I could not resist trying the Raised AeroBed. My wife and I own and have slept on AeroBeds since their introduction and found them to offer a comfortable night's rest and a perfect surface for those romantic moments...
Pros: comfortable, easy to use, quick set-up Cons: squeaks on hard surfaces, somewhat noisy to inflate
We bought our Aerobed when I had to stay in an unfurnished apartment for a few days. It was so comfortable, I hardly wanted to go back to a regular bed!
The Aerobed is an air mattress with a small, built-in electric pump for inflation. You...
Pros: Setup, Deflation, adjustable firmness, non-fabric, easy cleanup. Cons: Short mattress for tall people.
When I was in my University residences, I slept on the mattresses that the campus residences provided me. After about 3 years of sleeping, basically on the same mattress. I started to feel lower back pain. As I gained weight every year since I first...
Pros: comfortable, sturdy, great customer service Cons: expensive, plastic parts can break off
With so many overpriced, inferior goods being pawned off on unsuspecting consumers, it is tremendously refreshing to find a company with reliable, high-quality products and excellent customer service. That, in a nutshell, describes our experience with...
Pros: Compact, Portable, Short inflatable time, excellent support from the company Cons: If there is leak, it's very hard to locate and fix the problem
For personal reasons, I have never owned a regular bed (one with coil spring in it) since I was sixteen. Most of time, I used futon because I could fold it and save space. One sleepless night about a year ago, I saw an ad. Aerobed. It was like a...

Pros: Great space saver - sleep grrrreat. Cons: Stablizers on the side are clunky.
I got this bed to sleep on because I got in an accident and can't sleep in the marital bed with the cast on my arm. I have to have the whole bed to rest my arm but I also need something that will support my size and height. I am 6'2' and 240 and live in...
Pros: Comfortable and convenient! Gives me the space I need! Cons: Watch out for sharp objects. Might give slight problems if you use it everyday.
I didn't get my Raised Aerobed for a spare bed, but for everyday use. I live with family members and there is not much privacy or space in the house. I got on this exercise kick and there is not much space in the living room so I have to do my routines ...
Pros: Very easy to inflate. Nice and comfortable. Cons: Poor quality.
Since February of 2002, I have dealt with two of these mattresses, both of them failing to hold the air in. When the first one began to slowly collapse, customer service was very helpful with a replacement valve kit, But before I could even attempt to...
Pros: Inexpensive solution for occasional use Cons: Low durability, very heavy to carry
It is really not fair to characterize this product as a bed. The instructions explicitly tell you to evenly distribute your weight on it. This means no sitting at the end of the bed, standing on it or (heaven forbid) jumping on it. I'm using mine as a...
Pros: Easy to store, set up and take down. Uses ordinary bed linens. Comfortable and durable. Cons: Slight "inflatable toy" odor when new, dissipates with use.
When family and friends pull up roots and move to remote regions requiring an overnight stay when you pay them a visit, give them a nice send-off. Buy them an AeroBed or two. Better yet, throw a couple in the trunk of your own car with some pillows and...
Pros: comfortable, compact, easy to use Cons: none that I can see
I've owned this queen size aerobed for about two months now and have used it 10 to 15 times so far. To me it's more comfortable than my regular bed, which is now 10 years old, because I like a very firm bed. The firmness is adjustable in case you prefer...
Pros: Firm, comfy, and portable Cons: You could pop it
Aerobeds are comfortable and futuristic. I use an Aerobed as my permanent bed because it’s better than a regular mattress and it’s not filled with billions of mattress mites!
Mattresses are heavy, cumbersome, filled with all kinds of junk, and...
Pros: Easy to use, very comfortable for people of modest stature. Cons: Leaks, leaks and more LEAKS! IMHO: Defective seam construction

Pros: I awoke with no numbness in my arms or legs. Cons: Second sleeper of different weight causes mattress to become lopsided.

Pros: Adjusts to any firmness. Cons: Never goes on sale on the store.
I first became acquainted with this mattress about 2 years ago when I was living in a small apartment in New Jersey. My little bed gave out and I had to decide how to replace it. The fact that even a small bed was taking up so much room was a major...
Pros: Initially the beds were very comfortable. Cons: Mattress grows, continually expanding beyond original size. Needs daily air. Not for long term usage.
While staying at my brother's house trying to find a new job, we purchased a queen size Sofina Iso airbed with memory foam top. Slept on it for more than 2 years. We loved it. Best bed I had ever slept on. When we finally moved in to our own home, we put ...
Pros: Great comfortable, great durability, and your guests feel like they're on a real mattress! Cons: The bed is so comfortable, your guests may never leave!
I slept on this while visiting my grandmother recently. I inflated it in about 90 seconds every night and deflated it in about 2 minutes every morning. It rolls up easily and compactly and stores in a simple carrying case. What an upgrade from the ...
Pros: The bed does not house any type of allergen since it's made of plastic. Cons: Can possibly deflate.. as my bed has a slow leak from its valve.
I find the Imaginair Aerobed, all in all, quite comfortable.
I replaced my conventional mattress with the Aerobed for the sake of my allergies. I inflate the bed to its maximum and have had a full nights sleep ever since. One downside to this...
Pros: Firm mattress, compact storage. Cons: Noisy, vinyl is cold.
I bought an Aero bed when I made a temporary move into an apartment and wasn't sure how long I would be there (marital problems - don't ask). Anyway, I think that this is a great product. I did not inflate my bed every night, but instead left in inflated...
Pros: fast, easy, comfortable Cons: expensive, hot
I firmly believe in YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! We recently traveled to my mother's house. after 2 nights of her "budget" air mattress (WHICH the inner chambers popped in the middle of the night, and sounded like someone shot us) we went and found an...
Pros: Easy, adjustable, quick, compact when deflated, comfortable Cons: none

Pros: Great comfort; reasonable price through Costco on-line. Cons: Develops leaks easily; noisy motor. Hard to fit sheets. Best for part-time use.
I fell in love with this bed after staying with friends on a trip two years ago and knew only a soft bed was for me. Since I needed a new mattress, got this for full time use. It lasted about 6 months and developed a leak I could not find; so purchased ...
Pros: Comfortable (while it lasted), fast air pump, long cord Cons: Unreliable, too flimsy, poor customer service
I bought this bed to use as my main bed. I recently moved, and with that came a big purge. In my new home, I didn't have a good, affordable, comfortable bed, so when I saw this advertised on a home shopping channel, I grabbed it!The first bed I ...
Pros: Comfortable, sturdy, and looks like a standard bed when bedding is on Cons: Like all inflatables it needs a little extra air every 6-8 hours.
Queen Size Raised Aerobed.
I already owned a standard twin aerobed when the raised mattress was introduced. Having had several guests and personally using it for over 10 nights, I am very glad I bought it. It's a bit heavy due to its size but fits...
Pros: Inflates easily and quickly. Cons: Very uncomfortable.
I purchased the Twin size Raised AeroBed because my brother was coming to visit and I wanted to offer him a more accommodating stay than the couch. I eagerly waited for its arrival and was excited by the timely manner in which it did. I immediately read...
Pros: inflates fast, comfortable, easy to use. Cons: none
I used to have a colemen inflateable bed, but it broke real quik and it sucked because you had to blow it up by mouth and it took forever. So when it broke, I wanted the aerobed.
I bought the aerobed because it had a motor to inflate itself...
Pros: None as of yet Cons: Cheap Plastic parts easily break.
Use it, break it, seems to be the way it works.
The plastic tab which keeps the deflation valve closed breaks very easily. My parents broke after the second use.
I purchased one that came broken. Once the piece breaks

Pros: Stowable. Great when you don't have a permanent space to devote to a guest bed. Cons: Air release valve needs redesign-
breaks easily and is hard to operate.
The full size mattress was very uncomfortable until I placed a 2" foam pad from our camper on top. Much better.
My chief complaint is the air release valve. Mine arrived from the internet merchant with a broken tab on the hard plastic valve, which...
I've owned 3 twin size originals. They initially perform as advertised: quick to inflate or take down, reasonably comfortable. I sleep on mine every night. It's a great idea, but all of mine failed in the 10 - 18 month range. Seams fail and it leaks....
Pros: Comfortable, instant bed Cons: none come to mind
My parents slept on this bed (ages 56 and 63) and both have back and hip problems. Each told me the Aerobed was extremely comfortable. Other guests have complemented us on it as well. I am told it is way more comfortable than a futon. It's always nice...
Pros: Sleeps well and easy to set up Cons: Very expensive doesn't stay inflated
We have had our bed for 2 years now and so have 2 of our friends. We have all purchased them in different places. One through QVC, one at a retail store and one at Bed, Bath and Beyond and we all have had problems with them!
The cute little model in the infomercials will have you ordering one of these expensive extra beds in a hurry. The second time we used it, the dump valve broke off, rendering the mattress totally useless. The first time we used it, we found it to be very...
Pros: 3min blow-up time Make it once; lean against wall daily Approved by 70yr old dad Cons: None so far.

Great bed however no manfacturer repair support by robt8179 ,Oct 11 '05
Pros: Great bed however no manfacturer repair support Cons: however no manfacturer repair support
Great bed, raised queen. Needed a gust bed as I have a 2 bedroom townhouse. I purchased the bed at a local linens chain. When purchased it worked perfectly and did not lose inflation.
However my bed is just over a year old and has been used less than 30 nights and now there is a leak or leaks, It has always been used within a house on clean floors and promptly packed away when the stay ended. There has not been any pets at the locations where it has been used. I just checked the manufacture's web site and it does not provide any information on how to or even if the bed can be fixed. I have made sure the end plug seal is clean but it does not make a difference.
While still less than a hotel room I expected it to last longer or that the manufacturer would support the product with a repair service
Pros: VERY comfortable even for extended use. It was also easy to use. Cons: It seems that the baffles need to be made stronger or something.
The Aerobed is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. The only problem is that the last two I have had, over the past three years, have popped thier baffles. We do use them every weekend. Also, since it happened both times within the warrantee period, they did replace them. Thankfully they have a good warrantee.
Pros: Inflates fast, can adjust firmness Cons: Very uncomfortable, sheets don't fit well.
We purchased a Aerobed in case of an emergency. Big Mistake. This bed is very uncomfortable and I didn't sleep too well. It might be alright if you buy a mattress topper for it. The bed is also short. The sheets don't fit well. I would have slept better in a sleeping bag. Save yourself some money and don't buy this. It does inflate good and you can adjust the firmness. Its also easy to move around.
Seal Busted with only minimum usage..... by milkedconsumer ,May 29 '09
Pros: Easily inflated Cons: Construction is terrible.....MANUFACTURER DEFECT DEFINITELY!!! DO NOT PURHCASE...
This is bed is worthless. A waste of hard earned $$$ people do not have money to throw away on hot air. We take GOOD care of anything we buy. I would put a heavy weight blanket on the hardwood floor just to keep my air mattress real clean. But just like everyone else our airbed sprung a leak in the seal. We bought several repair kits but nothing held because it was in a seam around the circle that is stamped on the bed. Worthless...try another brand. A true waste.
Pros: Easy to inflate, comes with nice accessories, easy to store and carry. Cons: Product fails easily and cannot be replaced after one year.
We bought a queen size with the bottom part inflated in addition to the top. We had it as an extra bed in my parents' home and used it rarely. The first time it split in the seam, we were told it could not be repaired, but they sent us a whole new bed. When it happened again, after only a few more uses, they refused to help at all. It was out of warranty (but only about 2 years old) but had been used less than 10 days. So pretty much, if the seam splits after one year, you are out about $200.
Pros: Easy to Inflate, Comfortable to Sleep Cons: Does NOT Last!
I bought the AeroBed and was excited about it for the first couple of months, until it decided to deflate and make it a cocoon around me while I was sleeping. Called AeroBed and replaced it, with no problem. Then imagine my horror as I awoke a few months later to the same thing. That would be 2 AeroBeds bad in 8 months. All AeroBed was willing to do is send me a replacement bed again. Thank goodness, I bought it from QVC and my refund from QVC is on it's way!
Aero raised bed - not a good experience by lavenderthyme ,Jul 29 '06
Pros: It was very comfortable till it started leaking. Cons: Not durable, poor customer service from the manufacturer.
I bought the raised aero bed to use for visitors. It was very comfortable but developed leaks after only a few uses. The first time I was able to use the included patch kit, which did seal that leak. The second time it sprung a leak my sister had to call for help in the middle of the night to get out of the deflating bed - she really could have done it herself but was laughing too hard. I called the aero bed company about the problem. They were not willing to take it back but said they would send another patch kit - but never did. After that I bought a different brand.
AeroBed-Queen Raised vs. Standard by hjb1 ,Nov 13 '07
Pros: Comfortable Cons: Possibly slow leakage
We recently went to Australia and slept on a standard queen AeroBed for about 10 days at a friend's house. For the most part I found it satisfyingly comfortable and slept surprisingly well. It may have lost a little air, but it was very slow and it was quite easy to inflate to the firmness we desired. We purchased a raised queen AeroBed, but I find it somewhat unstable, particularly at the edges. We are planning to exchange it for a standard queen.
