Aero Ni-Cd Pump
by eritg ,Jul 01 '07
Pros: convenient, small Cons: battery gets old and then doesn't take a charge
I have 3 aero products: pool and 2 matresses. In the few years I have had them - ALL 3 PUMPS HAVE WORN OUT. The Ni-Cd Battery just does not last very long. I love the aero beds for camping, but too bad this pump is not reliable. If you get caught in the great outdoors without a reliable pump, YOU END UP SLEEPING ON ROCKS. Aero needs to rethink the pump and design one that can be charged but also plugged in for emergency inflating If the charge doesn't work.

This is my fifth pump
by nancy_hawks ,Nov 02 '07
Pros: Works well when it works. Cons: It only worked through 2 charges!
I had gone through 4 pumps over the years. I notice that the last 2 didn't last very long, but I couldn't give an accurate time period. After the forth one stopped working, I needed to buy a new pump so I could use my mattresses (without the pump, the mattresses are useless). I purchased the pump in June and used it for a camping trip during that month. We used it to fill up 2 mattresses. After our camping trip I plugged it in to recharge it and put it away for the next time we would need it. I used it again in September for a camping trip and filled up 2 mattresses again. After that camping trip I plugged it in to recharge it. Then I went to use it again about 3 weeks later and it was dead. And hasn't worked since. So basically it worked through 2 charges.
