Pros: Decent video, very compact, inexpensive, easy to use. Cons: Playback not nearly as good on your HDTV, better for the PC.
These days, you can find videos of just about anything on You Tube. Thats a great thing really, but if you want to upload video to You Tube (or any other site that hosts videos for that matter, including your own) you need a video camera. Most video ...
Pros: Inexpensive HD video camera. Takes good stills. Uses SD cards. HD video output. Cons: Grainy mic. “HD” video is compressed. Manual focus. Plastic (cheap) construction. Quicktime encoding.
From the makers of the PENCAM! Comes a super inexpensive true HD video camera! sounds too good to be true, eh? Well, it’s not a total scam, but it’s not George Lucas cinematography either… Features The Aiptek A-HD cam is cheapo handicam that ...
Pros: Large format video and decent still image quality. Cons: Awkward handling. Tinny sound. Very poor battery life.
Like many, I had a hard time grasping a "HD" camcorder for under $150 when I saw it at my local electronics store. But then, it was packaged in a blister pack, hanging on a wall display along with toy cameras as well. So, what should one expect? ...
Pros: Bargain price, well built, simple design for a wide variety of users. Cons: Battery could last longer, lack of lens cap, fixed aperture.
When I first heard of Aiptek cameras I had to admit I was more than a bit doubtful. I work with professional video cameras which exceed $40,000 in price every day, and simply could not believe one could obtain anything usable for under $500, especially ...
Pros: Incredible picture quality at this price range

Audio quality could be better
I purchased this camcorder to take pictures of my grandchildren. I was amazed at the HD picture quality that came from this inexpensive camera. HD videos were exceptionally sharp and clear, with good color saturation, and surprisingly low noise. A 4GB ...
Pros: Video quality, ease of use, price Cons: Sound is acceptable but not great, lack of stabilization software, no optical zoom
After reading the above reviews for this camcorder, I wasn't sure that it would be worth buying even at a very good ($119) price. Since I had an awards ceremony coming up for a family member, I thought it was worth a shot. Boy am I glad I took a chance ...
Pros: Cheap, easy to use, quality video, lightweight, decent storage on 4gb card-2 hours Cons: small battery capacity, feels like a toy, but priced like one, no optical zoom/stabilization
I couldn't believe it when I saw it, a high definition camera for $149. I had to see it for myself, and I am not disappointed, although I am not thrilled, either. But that is the whole point of this camera. It is the equivalent of buying a car with no ...
Pros: vid 720 av input fixed lens Cons: sound poor support firmware unacceptable
A poormans camcorder. You may understand the word poor man or lady camcorder Poor Is Just a Word saying it is the best Economy model on the market of Video, Audio is not the best. I own and owned a number of models and can Say that 99.99 at the ...
It was very impressive video quality, if you can hold the thing still enough, but for whatever reason even the slightest movement made it look horrible. The sound was worse than bad, and the battery life was almost nil. I ended up returning it. It's ...
Practice to be a Spielberg on a student filmmaker budget... by jessvi812 ,Jun 07 '08
Pros: Small enough to fit in a pocket, clear display, USB-chargeable, and wrist strap. Cons: Cheap plastic, no carrying case, and menu is difficult to navigate.
While it is true you get what you pay for (yes, I am referring to the shoddy plastic craftsmanship), if you are looking for a small camera that takes both good stills and moderately good video to capture those special moments, this camera might be for you. As mentioned in some previous reviews, the audio is a bit grainy. On the other hand, that is a small price to pay for the size and convenience of this camera.
I personally am a big fan of the small size of the camera and it's ease of portability. I also love the dual-charger feature - you can either plug it into a wall charger or your computer USB. Not needing batteries is one of the biggest reasons for my purchase of this camera.
My suggestion: If you have a budding little HD-Generation Spielberg at home begging for a video camera, and you are loathe to spend an enormous amount of money on an HD video camera, this would make an excellent starter/practice camera.
