I was traveling alone by Air Sahara from New Delhi to Chennai in the month of April in the year 2004. My flight was in the morning from the New Delhi domestic airport. Air Sahara, Jet Airways and Air Deccan are three new private players in the Indian ...
Pros: A very service oriented, and efficient airline. Cons: Network not as wide as Jet Airways.
On a recent vacation to India, my original itinerary was to fly through Air India, from Chicago to Mumbai, India and thereafter take their connecting flight to Bangalore, India, which was ...
Pros: Good service, some unique touches, lovely crews Cons: Mo menu, otherwise no cons.
It's not often that you will find me rating an airline highly if they don't serve vodka, or at least a glass of wine. But here, I have no choice. They were good, the young lady was charming, and could not have been more apologetic that she was letting me ...
I (and my colleague) had a horrible experience flying Air Sahara. I had made my complaint on 5 Feb 2007 to which there was no response.(www.airsahara.net/s2

I recently had a terrible experience with Air Sahara when I was visiting India with my fiance and wanted to travel from Pune to Hyderabad. We bought our tickets 5 days early. On the day of our departure when we reached the airport and tried checking in at which point they told us that the flight to Hyderabad had been cancelled for the last month and a half. We were shocked and showed them our paper tickets. They first refused to believe that we had bought the tickets only 5 days earlier. At one point they also told us that since we had bought econonmy fare tickets we weren't really eligible for any customer service! We ultimately had to cancel our trip to Hyderabad.
I have travelled extensively all over the world and never encountered an airline that sells tickets to a non-existing flight and then tells its customers to shut up because the tickets are cheap. This airline is a joke!
Jet Lite is not even Sahara !! by koraman ,Sep 30 '07
Pros: cost Cons: everything else
I feel Sahara has changed a lot after being Jet Lite. Previously , they were mostly delayed. So much so that I always made it a point to avoid it for official trips. I would enthusiastically fly Sahara for personal/family travel though - driven by cost and comfort reasons. A few days back my we were booked on Jet-Lite for a Bangalore-Kolkata trip. And guess what, the flight was on time .. for the first time for me. I do not know, but does having to wait more than half an hour stuffed up on a warm aircraft count as delay. Food was always one of Sahara's strengths and it seems to have degraded. Air hostesses reminded of Indian Airlines. The air-conditioning problem was just irritating. Otherwise the experience was reasonably okay.
Summary: use JetLite only if you want to a meal on flight at costs comparable to Spice & Deccan.
