Pros: Clear picture, fair sound, nice dvd player that works well.
Cons: Can't program universal remote, worthless warrantee,no support from Akai.
I had had this 32"lcd tv for about 4 monthes. The picture quality is excellent, the sound is fair.It is warranteed for one year for parts and labor. I called the warrantee no.to see if the warrantee included in home or take to repair shop and it definitely does not. You have to put it in a box and send it to Calf. The language of the warrantee almost almost guarantees the tv will be fixed without a service charge since lcd screen is clearly stated as not covered. It comes with a remote control, but even with the most expensive universal remote from Best Buy,it could not be programed. I email Akai asking what I a new remote would cost if mine died, there was no responce from them.I paid $400 at Sam's on a close out, even after 3 months,Sam's said they would take it back.I seen a 32"Olevia at Circuit City For $470,then they raised it to $540 after Black Friday.Olevia clearly does cover in home repair, check their website.
