Pros: filters not expensive to replace, cleans air well Cons: third and forth setting is loud
I purchased this air filter over the summer with my stimulus check from the good ole government. I had wanted a room air filter for my bedroom for a long time. In the spring I have seasonal allergies to contend with and in the winter dust makes me ...

Pros: He snores less. I dust less. Cons: The non-decorator recommended Outer Space Blue front piece color.
I don't have sinus or allergy problems, but my poor husband is plagued with both. And since we live in the South, we get the Spring and Fall heavy pollen and whatever else it is that causes so much of the population here to go about bleary eyed and ...

Pros: Filter replacement was 10 months, not 4
It works
Cons: Not sufficient for larger rooms unless left on the loudest setting.
I have bad allergies, and my Oreck air purifier was not working at all. After my research I found the Alen 350 and decided to give it a try in my 150 sq ft bedroom. Weight : The unit is light and easy to move places. It is also sturdy, so it won't tip ...

It works!
by hefeliciano ,Nov 09 '07
Pros: It truly works!
Easy to clean and change filters
Affordable Cons: Color!
A little noisy on the highest setting
With 3 members out of 4 in my household suffer from severe allergies. Tried lots of products but nothing helped. Decided to purchase this one to try it, and I must say....It works! I won't lie, allergies are not gone but I have seen a significant reduction plus a lot less dust in the house. Very easy to clean and change filters. Since then purchase 2 350s and 2 375s.
If you suffer from allergies...this is the product for you!

They work!
by crb04 ,Sep 19 '06
Pros: They really make a difference for our allergy sufferers.
Comes with lifetime warranty from manufacturer. Cons: The blue color on front of units. They are a little noisy at highest setting.
Several family members have allergy/asthma probs and after our experience with Oreck purifiers (which didn't seem to help alleviate at all), wondered if we really would notice a difference. We ordered two, and noticed a change right away! As earlier reviewer stated, I also have to dust far less frequently than I used to before receiving this product. We don't have to take allergy-symptom meds as often either. Even overnight guests have commented on lack of normal, seasonal nasal/sinus congestion experienced while visiting.

Couldn't be happier!
by jleezuckor ,Feb 06 '08
Pros: Quiet, gets rid of dust, does a great job all around Cons: Highest level is pretty loud
After doing a good deal of research, I purchased the A350 for our 1 bedroom apartment in NYC primarily for the dust. We've only had it for two weeks, but I couldn't be happier. The setup it very easy, it runs very quiet (we keep it on speed 2 while we're in the room, and speed 3 while we're out and asleep), and it's worked wonders on our dusty apartment. If we have people over, we can put it down to level 1 and you can't even hear it on. Level 4 does sound like it's about to take off, but we've been fine leaving it on 3. Before we used it, I had to dust every single day...literally. We are in an older building, overlooking a construction site. Now, since we've started using it, I've only had to dust once, maybe twice a week. Of course it doesn't get rid of all of the dust, but it's been so amazing that I've already ordered the tabletop Alen T100 for the bedroom. And now they ship an all white model of the A350 (no more blue front!). Definitely recommend!

Power supply hum
by nosloppy ,Jan 31 '06
Pros: Simple design, timer a plus, Light, versatile (floor use or wall mountable. Simple filter change. Cons: Color--what were they thinking?
Power supply might hum.
Got a repack I think.
Filter smelled like spray paint, cord had white paint on it.
Power supply hummed moderately loud regardless of fan speed. Sending it back for a new one - maybe that'll be better

I love it
by epin55 ,Sep 15 '07
Pros: For me it really works. Indicator let's you know when to replace filter. Cons: Couldn't find in a local store.
I've had difficulty sleeping with hay fever and pollen related allergies and the A350 has helped a lot in getting a better night's rest. It's got a little bit of white noise but I run it on the second fan speed in my bedroom I can hear it but it's not annoying.

Alen A350 Energy Star HEPA Air Purifier Review
by hlm82 ,Mar 18 '09
Pros: When the purifier was working, it seemed to clear out the air; I sneezed less. Cons: Mine broke after 2 months. Very poor customer service. Loud Expensive
I purchased the Alen A30W Energy Star HEPA Air Purifier in January 2009 for my dust mite allergies. I ran the purifier on low at night and on a higher speed during the day. About one month later I noticed a grinding noise coming from the motor when I ran the purifier on lower speeds. I contacted customer service via email and got no reply for a week. I contacted customer service during business hours and got an answering machine AFTER being put on hold for 10-15 minutes. Finally I called the 1-800 number for purchasing new purifiers and was immediately connected :) I was then informed that this is a "common problem" that they are having with this model! I now have to PAY to ship it back in order to have it fixed. In the mean time I've had to put up with a loud grinding sound if I want to use my purifier!

An expensive fan
by wanda111 ,Jan 06 '09
Pros: Easy to move around. Cons: The blower is cold and loud.
I bought this product to help with a constant stuffy head during the winter months in a tight, closed home. I have had the unit for three weeks. I have not witnessed any remarkable change in the air quality other than that the blowing fan makes the air very cold. I had to actually turn up the heat to compensate for the cold blower. The fan noise is too loud on 3 or 4. I have had the unit running continuously and still have stuffiness and itchy eyes.
