Pros: Small, light weight, best noise cancellation, and easy too use. Cons: The ear bud/loop doesn't always fit well. One size or style doesn't always fits all.
Jawbone headsets are one of the most popular headsets in the market, therefore the reason of my purchase. There are a few improvements in the Jawbone II compared to the first generation headsets. First is the smaller and light design and ...
Pros: "Noise assassin"lives up to claims. Good fit w/different sized earbuds/hooks. Looks good. Cons: Cost. Proprietary charging cable. No carrying case. A little over-packaged.
Although my state doesn't have a hands-free-while-driving law yet, I'm sure it's a matter of time, and there have already been other occasions when I've wanted to use my phone but needed my hands for other things. Now that I have this device and am happy ...
Pros: Sleek styling. Great audio filtering. You'll sound like you're not using a headset. Cons: Doesn't fit worth a damn if you don't have the "right face".
Behold the Jawbone! The Jawbone is a Bluetooth headset featuring a tactile vibration sensor which serves to filter out all background noise from your speech, leaving only the crisp sound of your own voice when you're using this ...
Pros: Nose cancellation, comfortable fit Cons: Price
Like many people out there, I too thought I would never become one of those headset people. I never wanted to be the guy walking around with a silly blinking piece of plastic in my ear pretending that I was someone important. But about six months ago I ...
The question is: Am I happy with my Jawbone purchase?I have owned this headset for 5 months now, and I can say with certainty that this headset is an excessive amount of money for little apparent benefit compared with other headsets. The ...
Pros: It looks cool Cons: Doesn't fit, Doesn't Work, Breaks for no reason
I have owned the original jawbone, and now this. I will never order another Aliph product so long as I live. My business partner and I both have had both, and our communications are unbearable to say the least. I am usually in the office while he is ...
Pros: Very loud, easy to hear other end. Looks stylish. Easy to pair, good battery life. Cons: Doesn't fit quite right. Proprietary power connector. Echo (defective headset?) back.
I got one of the new Jawbones to go with my 3G Iphone.. I figured that as long as I'm overpaying for a phone (long-term expensive contract), I might as well get a fancy pants Bluetooth headset to go with it. Boy was I surprised with what I ...
Pros: Small size and light weight Cons: Too many cons - bad fit, poor placement of 'end call' button. Sad really.
I love my original Jawbone that I bought this one as soon as I saw it, happy that the form factor was smaller than the original and had assumed that the technology would be at least as good. What a mistake. The original had a series of parts that made ...
Pros: Cool design, Light Cons: Too difficult to get good fit
I agree that, when used absolutely correctly, this headset sounds terrific. But using it "correctly", believe it or not, is harder than you think...More on that later...The package consists of several ear buds to customize the fit of your ...
Pros: smaller than the jawbone 1 Cons: everything else, poor design, poor customer service and very poor sending capabilities.
I had the original jawbone, which was highly recommended by several people. It didn't fit quite perfectly, but I am not a complainer and the sound quality, both receiving and sending, more than made up for the fit. The downside is that the earloops break ...
Best Bluetooth EVER if ........ by b1kerdude ,Apr 03 '09
Pros: Size, comfort, excellent sound quality, noise assassin works GREAT. Cons: Without the new 'buds' you might hate the Jawbone 2.
"Got the new Jawbone 2 a couple of weeks ago. I must admit getting a proper fit is not easy, and in my case I thought it would be impossible. Constantly moving it so it touched my cheek, sometimes even holding it there, till I touched a hidden button and hung up on my caller accidently. I was really upset till I found out about the 'new fit gel buds'. Why my Jawbone 2 didn't come with these, I don't understand. But I have them now (from Jawbone for FREE) and HIGHLY recommend them to everyone !!! You won't regret it, GET THE NEW EAR BUDS !!! With the new buds, my Jawbone 2 is EVERYTHING I thought it would be and more. Best Bluetooth ever !!!" It comes packaged like a museum piece, which I'm sure added to the cost. Nothing could ever make me give up my Jawbone 2. I don't think there will be a #3, it's hard to improve on perfection.
If you like form over function, buy the Jawbone II. If you like some function with the form, go eslewhere. I understand the technology and no matter how I positioned the boom, with the Noise assassin on or off, the mic picked up my voice fading in and out. I pushed the boom to my face. No change. I positioned it to lightly touch my face. Same problem. Believe me, I tried everything and the thing just doesn't work well.
But it does look good.
I don't have a recommendation; I'll post a review when I find a better product. At the moment, the tethered Mac iPhone headset works MUCH better than the Jawbone II.
UPDATE. I bought a Motorola H12 Blue Tooth headset. Much better. Here's that review.
Pros: great sound at both ends teriffic noise elimination, including wind Cons: does not stay in ear turns on unintentionally disconnects when touched
Great concept, awful implementation. This bluetooth cellphone headset has great sound and great noise elimination. It is very light, unobtrusive, attractive, and lasts long enough on a charge. But, because the entire body is a touch-sensitive button, it always gets clicked when you don't want it to. It turns on when you have put it away. It turns off when you put it in your ear, or when you touch it in your ear. It requires two good points of contact: in your ear, and on your cheek. But the supplied earplugs and bands don't work; some from other earsets work better. The bands are as likely to push the cheek point or earbud out as they are to hold them in.
Maybe I don't have a Jawbone! by jeanbchr ,Aug 10 '08
Pros: Easy to recharged Cons: Doesn't work, It's uncomfortable, useless high tech jewelry!
The other party complains that they can't hear me! The headset has to remain pressed firmly against your jaw and it's NOT easy to keep the unit in contact with your jaw... I try to put the volume up and instead I hanged up, I threw it it in the river, when my last interlocutor complained!
Pros: I cant think of any Cons: Expensive Ear hooks expensive Unusable if there is a breeze Plastic case breaks Performance unacceptable
I hate this Jawbone! First off I way over paid for the performance delivered versus the performance promised. It doesn't fit comfortably. The best fit was with out any of the ear adapters. The ear hooks are cheap and break and Jawbone wants $30 for three more pieces of junk! The plastic imitation carbon fiber cover also broke off and I cant even find that for sale. Performance sucks...especially in the wind. Nobody can hear you. Don't buy this!!!!!!
