Set and Dressed to the 9's with All-Clad Stainless Satisfying My Guilty Pleasure (Write-Off)

by mind-full Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Aug 10 '02
Pros: quality, durability, professional results, beautiful, reliable
Cons: price
An All-Clad Stainless Steel Set is worth its weight in gold, and though you might consider it about as costly, it is well worth the investment. It is truly a "guilty pleasure" when considering the price you might pay in respect to the delights it...

One way to Stepford.

by thom413 , Jan 02 '03
Pros: Even heating, easy to clean, sturdy enough to last a lifetime.
Cons: None
Recent unemployment has left me acting far more "domestic" than is healthy. The reference to Stepford in my title is a nod to a 1970s movie about the mythical town of Stepford, Connecticut, where the husbands replaced their feminist wives with robots...

by dlamarrx , Aug 19 '00
Pros: Easy to cook on, lovely to look at.

All-Clad is the best cookware I have ever used!

My wife and I purchased our first All-Clad saucepan with a gift certificate we received when we were married. Ever since then, we couldn't wait for the day when we could replace our entire...

It all Started with One Big Sucker of a Fry Pan...

by girlfriday1 , Feb 22 '01
Pros: Top quality, dishwasher safe, scours easily, handles stay cool
Cons: Perhaps too heavy for those with special needs
It all started some 20 years ago. My dad bought his mother-in-law, my Nana, a big shiny fry pan. He bought the best the store had to offer and that was All-Clad. It was a smart buy then, and remains one today.

That big sucker of a fry pan...

by smuboy81 , Apr 04 '03
Pros: Great heat conduction, looks CAN kill!
Cons: Not recommended for dishwasher use, fingerprints
Its like having 1000 mirrors in your kitchen...good if you are cute...bad if you are Godzilla

So, if you have read my other epinions, you know my loyalty to the best. All-Clad is no exception.

My first set, the MasterChef, was...

Please read if you want a good set of pans!!

by kiminnc , Jul 29 '02
Pros: Easy to clean, stay looking new, much better non-sticking than non-sticks
Cons: Expensive
I love to cook fancy, gourmet dishes, but my pots and pans were always "fast food" quality. For years, I've been limping along with a hodge-podge collection of scratched up non-sticks and some ancient cast iron pans. I bought the 9 piece set a few...

Professionally speaking there is nothing that comes close

by wazidis , Dec 25 '03
Pros: Does the word PERFECT mean anything to you.
Cons: Mmmmmmmm,....thinking,...there not free,...that's it
I am a trained chef and I have owned 2 of my own restaurants and I have to tell you I have never cooked on anything that comes even close to the performance of All-Clad cookware. Don't get me wrong, I have owned lots of other cookware, but they all fell ...

Pros: Cooks great, don't stick, easy to clean, etc.
Cons: Boiling water, pricey.
This actually is a review and not a recipe, so don't get all crazy on me until you read it.

Today, class, we will use our Nine Piece All-Clad cooking set to make a very difficult Italian meal: pasta with tomato sauce and chicken. So...

All Clad Stainless: Like The Lady Said, You Won't be Sorry

by thatsmytake , Nov 20 '00
Pros: sturdy, chic, and goes in the oven!
Cons: have to be careful never to fry on high
I woke up one morning with one thought ... I am 35 years old, a good cook, and it's high time I bought a REAL set of cookware. A full set, and, yes, if need be, an expensive set! Luckily, I could further justify my purchase with two facts: one, it was...

The Big Switch

by ensignbetsy , Feb 14 '02
Pros: Can use any utensils, nice looking.
Cons: None
I recently traded in my Farberware (which I am going to update my Epinion on when I get done here) for the All-Clad Stainless Steel 9 piece set. I am thrilled.

Although the Farberware was easy to clean, I missed being able to use a whisk when...

A Lasting Lifetime Investment

by HopeJ , Aug 10 '00
Pros: even cooking, dishwasher safe, superior performance
Cons: heavier than others, pricey
As a newlywed, I was in the market for some GOOD cookware. I have gone through so many pots and pans over the years, none of which I cared for. Once with my old cookware, I was carrying a hot pot of boiling water over to the sink to drain it; and the...

Ohmigosh, I forgot to turn off the soup!

by nobody_knows , Nov 18 '00
Pros: Even cooking, easy clean-up
Cons: The handles do get hot so you need hot pads
Friday afternoon, I am on my way out to spend the afternoon with my daughter. Before I go, I need to heat up the chicken soup on the stove (I keep a pot of soup going most of the time during the colder months). I'll just get it boiling and then simmer it...

All-Clad Stainless Pots & Pans

by sandyb , Nov 11 '99
Pros: Cooking With Ease
Cons: Absolutely None
