Good price and decent bass
by carolinagirl98 ,Jan 15 '07
Pros: price, bass, works with tons of MP3 players Cons: Limited volume
These speakers aren't powerful enough to provide sound across the home, but they're great if you're just looking for speakers for a single room. They have a good sound, including enhanced bass, and it's easy to connect them to a variety of MP3 players. I was particularly impressed with the bass. It can be difficult to get reasonable bass sound in a set of inexpensive speakers.
The speakers have their own volume switch, but you can also use the equalizer on your MP3 player to adjust the sound quality.

Could be Better and cheaper
by shargantribe ,Dec 12 '05
Pros: small, blends well with surroundings Cons: could be cheaper, could have better sound, for the price a longer warranty
I have purchsed 2 of these, one for work - one for home. The sound could be better but then the speakers are only so big to begin with and since obviously, I can't blast them at work the sound quality at high volume wasn't much of an issue. But yeah, the price could've been lower. Anyway.... I've had my first set for a year this week and it died last week without so much as a fizzle. I turned it on and there was silence. I contacted Altec Lansing who tried to push me around from customer support person to another person, it was funny how I got sent back to the first support person who seemed annoyed at this. Nonetheless, he issued me a RMA good for 30 days to return them for whatever theyre gonna do, fix them or send most likely refurbished instead of new. MUST have receipt for warranty work.

Not worth the money
by anita92024 ,Dec 29 '07
Pros: small, can use with ipod and computer Cons: bad sound
I got these to use with my Ipod when travelling, and also to supplement my laptop speakers, but the sound is tinny and vibrating. Not a satisfactory purchase.
