I am 48 years old and have been using Ambi since I was 16 years old. I had a acne problem along with my peers. I found that when I used Ambi on the pimple at onset, it went away quicker and clearer. The directions say just use the cream on the darkened area. I have always used the Ambi for normal skin on my entire face. I have gotten compliments on my skin for many years and always thought to be a lot younger. I think the makers of Ambi should let me do a commercial. It really has worked for me. I love the re-vamped look and it smells a lot better than it used to.

Ambi contains hydroquinone which is an effective lightening ingredient. This ingredient is regulated by the FDA and has been banned in skin care products in Europe.  Studies conducted on rats indicate that hydroquinone may cause cancer.  Even though the application is topical, this ingredient is absorbed into the kidney and liver through the skin.  In Africa, where skin lightening compounds are in high demand, products with hydroquinone are widely used.  Doctors there have reported an increase in ochronosis which causes the skin to become darker and thicker.  If you are using products with hydroquinone, such as Ambi, it is best to consult a dermatologist first.  Not only is it carcinogenic, but it can cause breakouts in sensitive skin, and it increases the skins sensitivity to sun because it inhibits the production of melanocytes.

One day after coming back from a trip my face started to peel...It looked horrible with light and dark patches so i went to Walgreen and it was recommended by someone in the store over the Nadinola product. Everybody says that it works in two weeks but on my skin it worked in 3-4 days. It bleached my skin and it got rid of my acne too....i stopped using it now because there's no need to but you cannot expect to buy the product and have it work in 3 days because everybody has different skin types.....i would recommend that you use the Ambi complexion cleansing soap at the same time because it really does get rid of dirt and it doesnt dry your face and it works well together with the fade cream (unless you have really dry skin ..i dont even think you need to put some lotion on)
