Pros: seems soundly constructed
Cons: too uncomfortable to use - cannot grip naturally
Summary: I own about 25 fillet knives (2 electric), cleavers, and other fish cleaning tools. One of my knives is an American Angler Freedom Electric, which I have decided to STOP USING! This knife is very poorly designed. When attempting to fillet (especially ... read more

Pros: the knife does not have any pro's
Cons: the A.A. cordless knife doesn't hold a charge. the plug in corded one works okay.
Summary: The body should be slimmer. The blade release should be in a place that doesn't interfere with operation. Makes filleting really ... read more

Pros: The blade is adequate.
Cons: poor design, junk for motor, piece of junk that does not work!
Summary: The design is poor in that you cannot keep from pressing the blade release button on top of the knife as you filet a fish. The motor is junk and my switch already is shot, apparently, since it only works about half the time. It is a piece of junk. I am ... read more

Cons: does not cut warm butter

Pros: I can't keep the blade in long enough to find any "pros"
Cons: Design is just the worst
Summary: I have never successfully completed the filleting of a single fish without an unintentional release fo the blades. The release button on the top is in the EXACT location your thumb would be in during the process. What were these design folks thinking? Do ... read more

Pros: Comes in a neat box.
Cons: Hand slides over the end.
Summary: Very poor design on the grip. Your hand wants to naturally push forward while cleaning a fish and their is nothing to stop your hand from going over the end. If your hand doesn't slip over the end, your thumb usually end up releasing the blades. ... read more
