Pros: Removes residue in hair, leaves hair squeaky clean Cons: Some may not like the scent of this product
Clarifying shampoo a necessity for healthy hair or a marketing gimmick? Shampoo is shampoo is shampoo at least, that was what I thought. Then I read somewhere that it is important to use a clarifying shampoo every now ...
Pros: Works very well on chlorine-green and dull hair. Cons: ANOTHER bottle of "chemicals" for my husband to complain about cluttering up the shower.
One summer in my teenage years, I spent A LOT of time in the pool. I had "dirty-blonde" hair, but after so much time in the pool, it began to take on a greenish hue. It was not attractive at all. Being a teenager, I was very concerned and started to ...
Pros: Definitely anti-residue. Cons: Can't stand the scent.
My hair oftentimes gets bored and feels weighed down after using the same shampoo for weeks. Since I'm a daily hair-washer, this happens on a regular basis. I've been familiar with Neutrogena's products since I was a kid and although I was skeptical...
Pros: removes build-up and leaves hair clean and shiny! Cons: the smell
It happens all the time, you find a great new shampoo and you think that you have hit gold with it. Then it stops working. You hair begins to look dull and it is totally unmanageable. The result is switching shampoo every few weeks and spending a ton of ...
Pros: Removes built up, leaves hair lighter, adds volume, refreshing fragrance, color-free & biodegradable. Cons: Needs conditioning, post-shampoo because it may tangle hair.
Bad hair days - I’m sure you’ve experienced one before. Anyone with any follicular substance on his/her summit would have wakened up one day with it rebelling whatever-which-way. And you – armed with your hair-styling battle weapons galore - defiantly...
Pros: It really gets hair squeaky clean. Cons: None.
I absolutely love Neutrogena Shampoo. I have been using this formula since I was a child. Sure, it's a bit on the pricey side (I paid about $8.00 for a small bottle), but if one wants to rid their hair of build up of hair spray, gel, and daily wear and...
Pros: smells very shampoo-ey, actually totally and completely does what it says it will Cons: Although it's not VERY expensive, there are many cheaper shampoos out there
Some people have a stamp collection, others like model airplanes...me? I'm obsessed with hair products. Gel, mousse, serum, styling liquid, defrizzing creme...you name it and I have 5 in the Secret Hair Product Box at the back of my closet. Needless to...
Pros: Gets the product buildup out of your hair, lathers nicely, smell good Cons: Not for everyday use, a little pricey
This was the first Neutrogena hair product I'd tried; after having success with their makeup, I decided they at least deserved a chance at my hair. I was really impressed with it. This isn't supposed to be an everyday shampoo. It's something you can ...
Pros: Smells clean, and it does clean your hair. Cons: Getting a bid pricey
If they quit making this shampoo it will be a big mistake.
I have not found a shampoo I like better to clean hair than Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo.
Truly cleans residue out of your hair. Everyone should use it at least once a week ,...
Pros: Helps prevent styling product build up Cons: Has an unpleasant smell
I don't use many styling products but the couple I do use were enough to make my hair a little duller. I have dry color treated hair and have to use various conditions to help restore it's natural look but from constantly using conditioners it would...
Healthy Shiny hair with no residue by jeffreyncherry ,Mar 30 '07
Pros: Cleans really well Cons: haven't found any yet
I absolutely LOVE IT!! I use this once or twice a week and I couldn't be happier with the results! It doesn't smell good while you are washing your hair but after your hair dries, it smells amazing. I almost always have an oily scalp, and this shampoo cleans it beyond perfection without leaving anything in the hair or affecting the skin. I use this once weekly to get rid of all the gunk and styling products that my regular shampoo couldn't dismiss. Then I follow up with a deep conditioner, since my hair is primed for moisture. I've had people ask what kind of perfume I'm wearing and where can they get some, when all they're smelling is this shampoo. Highly recommended!
Gorgeous hair with Neutrogena anti-residue by karenand ,Jun 16 '06
Pros: Effective for longterm use. Cons: Sometimes hard to find at smaller drugstores.
I discovered Neutrogena anti-residue shampoo more than 20 years ago, and have been using it since. Hairdressers rave about how nice my hair is now that I'm in my 50s, and I think it's the Neutrogena. I periodically try other shampoos, but find that they sort of stop working after a week or so. The Neutrogena seems to get me back to "natural hair," and I can use a little Phyto conditioner or Bumble and Bumble style cream without it building up.
In the past few years Neutrogena has begun selling dozens of overlapping products, including several shampoos, and I worry that they'll phase this one out. It's about $5 for 6 ounces, and usually available at large drug stores.
