Pros: Everything, this is one great machine! Cons: None
I have owned Toshiba, Gateway, HP, and Compaq laptops, all of these I have gone through since 2005, I bought this MacBook about 8 months ago and I wish I would have long ago and saved all the time and money over the past 4 years that I waisted on windows based laptops and just bought this instead. My other laptops always "froze up" or "crashed" for no reason, limited wifi range also on nearly every one of them.this MacBook is awesome, I am having to get accustom to Safari but it is proving worth it!Mac also has Office now which I had to have, so that was a big selling point for me, I couldn't of got it if Office was not avialable.I now have no crashes or freeze ups, very long distance range for the wifi.love it! The solid stainless steel is great, the laptop is lightweight, the 13.3 screen is sharp. It can be hard to keep the finish clean and without scratches.
Pros: Very clean screen. Sturdy design. Good battery life Cons: Sharp bottom corner digs into you palms after extended use.
Having been a PC user most of the time, this is my first long term experience with a Mac. I probably would not have considered a Mac unless it could run XP using VMWare Fusion or VirtualBox. I still need the PC apps for work.
The case feels substantial and although I have yet to bump it on something, I would expect it to hold up. The screen is super clear with bright colors. Even with the smallish screen, my eyes don't feel tired looking at the screen all day. Keyboard placement is very good and I really like the two finger on the touchpad feature. There is some discomfort where you rest your palms. Average size hands will be resting on the bottom corner, which over time hurts a bit.
Running XP in the Macbook has been mixed. Most of the time it does run with no problems, but there have been occasions where it will lock up and reboot itself or tell you to do a hard reboot. I'm finding that Fusion is a little bit more reliable than VirtualBox, but either is a fine choice. VirtualBox is free however.
