Switching in grand style.

by DrDaveC , Aug 15 '02
Pros: Simply the MOST BEAUTIFUL Laptop made...EVER!
Cons: Runs a bit hotter than previous Powerbooks and Costly...but worth every penny.
I was sick and tired of PC's. I have been using PC's and working as a computer/network consultant since 1985 (Remember the Leading Edge IBM PC/AT Compatible with 640K of RAM? That was my first computer). For some reason, despite all the aggravation...

Powerful, Well-Designed Laptop

by andrewkeating , Aug 11 '02
Pros: Great design (lightweight, all-in-one); powerful performance
Cons: A bit expensive; some users might want a larger hard drive
The Powerbook G4 Titanium has a great, all-in-one design. Built in ethernet, modem and wireless networking capability give the Powerbook all the networking options you need. In addition, the hard drive capacity is sufficient for most users - however,...

No more PCs for me!

by neofusion , Nov 03 '02
Pros: Razor sharp wide screen, equally sharp looks, and that's just on the outside!
Cons: No word processor included. Slow to start from complete shutdown.
Before I started law school, I realized that I would need a new computer. Since I was going to be on the move alot, it had to be a laptop. So I busted out the good old spreadsheet and began my comparison shopping. I've always been a PC fan, though I had...

$2500 dollar gem

by jefhatfield Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Sep 13 '02
Pros: very fast
Cons: os x not there yet
If the average mid range laptops on the market were just ordinary stones, the Apple titanium Powerbook G4 would stand out as a gem.

On the surface, there is the 1" inch incredibly thin titanium casing which is durable and acts to draw heat...

Laptop for big laps

by mikemericle , Sep 11 '02
Pros: Just plain cool, huge screen, battery life, display sharpness, speed
Cons: Slot loaded CD/DVD is very touchy.
This laptop is awesome. However, you will need a bigger lap to hold it. Just kidding. The laptop is very sleek and light, not to mention cool looking. Everyone who sees it says that it is the coolest laptop they ever saw.

We use it mainly for...

For Titanium, it's not very tough

by mr_chupon99 , Aug 22 '02
Pros: Stylish, lots of ports, big monitor for a laptop.
Cons: Fragile, heats up quickly, quickly drains battery, no sound in port.
I have to wonder whether these machines were field tested because they have a rather large problem due to the way they're made. Because the laptop is so thin, the LCD display doesn't have firm backing to it. This means that unless you have a laptop...

The Rolls Royce of Computers

by schrowa , Dec 17 '02
Pros: OSX, weight, processing speed, longevity of product
Cons: scratches fairly easily
OSX is such an incredible achievement for Apple and everyone who uses it quickly realizes why. This operating system is so user and geek friendly that you can't help but like it. It is a beautiful interface and very simple to work with. You can't help...

Titanium Powerbook - 667

by mickeykay , Dec 09 '02
Pros: Fast. Lots of memory. User friendly. Everything you love about macs.
Cons: System 10 is somewhat unreliable. Computer comes with very little useful software.
Apple's recent addition to their array of laptops has a lot to say for itself. The inclusion of OS 10 is a welcome treat. Although the system is a bit unreliable (running several applications at once can result in lengthy command delays and the...
