4GB 2nd Generation Nano likely the gem of the new Nano lineup

by yusakugo Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, Sep 22 '06
Pros: Color choices, under $200, aluminum casing, functionality, iTunes 7
Cons: competition with more built-in features, average earbuds, other minor stuff
I mentioned in my i Pod Nano 2nd generation 8GB Black review that I have purchased two of the new Nano units... the other one being this unit. Although in most respects similar, the aesthetics of color, memory size, ...

Pros: Small powerful unit, great quality
Cons: Can break buy warranty
We have the pink, the green and the blue one at our house. The kids bought them with their own money they saved. They LOVE THEM. However, mom has a different opinion. A wise friend told me to make sure I got the warranty. We have used them all!! They ...

Pros: LIGHT WIEGHT-DURABLE-COMPACT-INNOVATIVE-COMPATIBLE-LOTS OF ACCESSORIES-LONG LASTING BATTERY-
Cons: THE SCREEN IS SMALL-THE MUSIC CAPACITY COULD BE BIGGER-DOESNT PLAY VIDEOS-LIMITED WITH CATAGORIESS
I have been reeling over when to buy a new ipod for a long time now. I have a 3rd generation 10gb ipod that I got for Xmas in '03 and it was immediately filled to the brim with music. I have probably used the thing every day since I've had it but the ...

Apple IPod nano

by english110 , Feb 14 '08
Pros: Good battery life, Durable, Small
Cons: Syncing to other computers
The product I am going to be reviewing is the IPod Nano, second generation four GB. There are many components to an IPod such as sound, size, compatibility, cost, and simplicity for people to learn about the product. The IPod is a very light-weight, ...

A Music Listener's Dream

by alex_lei1993 , Dec 10 '06
Pros: Small and Compact, New and Improved Earbuds, Easily Operated, More Durable than past Nano
Cons: Earbuds are average, Must hook up to computer to charge, A bit Expensive
As my music collection got bigger and bigger, I realized my 512 MB MP3 player was becoming obsolete. I decided to search around on Epinions for reviews on various MP3 players. I lowered it down to The Ipod Nano 4 GB, the Ipod Video 30 GB and the Sandisk ...

Why not?

by happyeverafter , Sep 13 '09
Pros: Small, durable, perfect for me
Cons: No longer the "latest technology"
I love my 2nd Generation Apple iPod Nano.  I purchased mine on eBay because I love a wide variety of music, and iPods allow you to have whatever songs you like instead of requiring you to purchase full albums.  I am happy with my decision to ...

Pros: cost - look for the deals.   Great Christmas gift for everyone!!
Cons: nothing - I love, Love it!!!!
The Apple iPod Nano is the greatest product in the marketplace, today.  Not only for the slim design, which can be tucked away and out of sight, for safety.  This very clever iPod has so much to offer.  I love music, my era of music of ...

One of the Best Music Player Available

by vtoodler , Feb 29 '08
Pros: Fast; Convenient; Painless
Cons: Expensive. Despite the 1000 songs claims, you can only downloads about 100 songs.
I don't use CD players since they are bulky, fragile, and cumbersome. And before the dawn of IPODS and other mp3 players, the only other portable music devices (besides CD players) were walkmans. Since elementary school, I have been using walkmans ...

Love the Nano!

by shayscia , Mar 08 '07
Pros: Green color, sturdy casing
Cons: Headphones aren't that great
iPod did it right when they came out with the new green Nano. I upgraded from a 1GB black Nano to this 4GB green Nano and I am so much happier with this Nano. The "metal" finish on the iPod is great. It feels so sturdy, but I still keep it in a ...

The ipod nano! magnificent
by emma1997 ,Feb 02 '09
Pros: The ipod nano is portable, easy to use, and charges fast.
Cons: The ipod dies fast
The ipod nano. A marvelous device. A device that comes in many colors. A device you will never want to let go of once you have held it. It plays music and is amazingly light compated to other ipods. You can download music, tv shows, movies, podcasts, music videos, ect. by the comfert of your computer. You can add events, set alarms ,and more. This is one of the many things that are small but bring alot. This is incredibly portible too. you can slip it into your pocket or put it in the pocket of your shirt. You can get these magnificent divices at many places like bjs, walmart, target places like those and a nearby apple store must have them.

iPOD Nano is a step up from the Mini
by crazybubbles31 ,Aug 19 '07
Pros: Lightweight, great color
Cons: Less storage space than iPOD mini
I love my iPOD Nano. It's amazingly light (even lighter than the iPOD Mini that I used to own) which I am especially grateful for when I take it running. The display is color, which a step up from the black and white display of the iPOD Mini. The Nano has less storage space than the Mini, but I haven't found that to be a problem...because I usually listen to my Nano while I'm running, I consider size to be a major pay-off. I love the bright lime green color, too.
Also, when I owned the Mini, I had trouble finding a "jacket" to cover it. I've realized that there is a much greater selection of jackets for the Nano than there is for the Mini.

Don't let the music stop!
by rhawkinson ,Dec 31 '08
Pros: Affordable, cool colors, more comfortable ear buds
Cons: Ear buds don't stay in for long runs.
I never really used my first generation iPod mini, and it's probably because it was never as good as the iPod Nano's second generation offering.  I confess, the girl in me was drawn to the color options (I bought the orange one), but once I started using it, it's hard for me to not have it with me at work or at the gym.  Then again, I get to listen to WAY more than the 2GB of music on my old one.

The graphics are fun, but for some reason not all album covers download from iTunes the way I would expect.  The function that allows you to find a spot in the song/audiobook is a bit tricky to figure out (then again, I don't like to read instructions...lol).  But the music quality is right on, and the ear buds are much more comfortable than past offerings.

The iPod Nano is lightweight and compact, making it easy to carry when you're working out (because who needs extra weights when you're working out, right?).  And despite a couple random drops on my desk or on the floor, it doesn't scuff or scratch like the old ones did.
