Pros: Great performance, battery life, top-notch hardware, good value - lots of features for your money Cons: Easily scratches, no PCMCIA expansion, sleeps when lid closed
Product Specifications: MacBook 13.3" screen, 60gb hard drive, 512mb DDR2 RAM, 2.0 GHz Intel Core Duo processor, DVD/RW burner. Introduction: This is my very first Apple notebook computer. I have owned an iMac for a couple of years now, and it's ...
Pros: Light, sleek, easy to use, completely capable machine Cons: In honor of PC converts I'll say the single button design of the trackpad
I've been a Mac user for decades, so I'm fairly loyal, and my old Macs have certainly served me well. (See my review of my trusty iMac http://www99.epinions.com/cont

After many years of faithful use, I finally decided to upgrade from...
Pros: Easy to use, lightweight, bright screen, good programs, solidly built. Cons: Mail program needs bug-fix.
I had been considering buying a Mac for about a year now, but had never quite gotten around to it-fears of an expensive doorstop, the learning curve, etc. Then Apple came out with the re-design of the iBook, now called MacBook, and ...
Pros: Excellent software.
Good machine for home users looking to get rid of their PC. Cons: No word processor included with software package. Support is TERRIBLE.
READ TO THE END OF THIS REVIEW FOR IMPORTANT UPDATE - this computer WOULD be a 5-star item if not for Apple's shady practices re: phone support. If you love your ipod then you will love this laptop! I spent years and years using nothing but PC's. ...
Pros: Cheapest Mac laptop and totally sufficent. Cons: Too expensive vs. what you can get in a pc and screen is too small.
This machine is quite nice and now that it is a little "old", it's much cheaper on the after-market.I won't compare the vitures of PC to Mac, but I will compare the features. You have a paltry 2 USB slots that are so close together that is ...
Pros: OS X is a fantastic operating system. Cons: Keyboard could stand to be a bit more accurate.
I used Windows for a long time, but eventually became dissatisfied for reasons that I won't go into here. I then moved to Linux, but just last week bought my first Apple computer: a white MacBook. Yes, there are a hundred of these reviews out there ...
Pros: Very fast processor, plenty of ports! Cons: Not quite enough battery life, battery still gets warm!
So now I have your attention! I said I loved my new white MAC BOOK, but what is this about colored lines? Here's the story, and all you MAC BOOK people should be aware of this, because as they used to say in the old TV show "Racket Squad", "it can happen ...
Pros: Style, screen clairity, MagSafe power cable, iSight webcam, lightweight, OS X Tiger. Cons: Umm... None???
I just received my 13" MacBook about week ago (on February 6th, 2007) and have already completely abandoned the windows world after 15+ years of fighing with Windows PCs. This MacBook has everything you need (except a word processor, I bought MS Office ...
Pros: beautiful, intuitive, great LCD, can do everything a PC can do and more Cons: easily gets dirty, needs right trackpad button
I am a longtime PC user and until recently, when I lost all my data on my harddrive due to an unknown crash that would cost me, over 1K to fix, I preferred PCs. I mainly used my desktop for email, word processing, digital pictures, digital movies, some ...
Pros: -Sleek Design
-More accessories then you can shake a stick at Cons: -sharp edges on keyboard
-Heat build up with no fans to disperse
I am not a person with alot of money to burn. But when I saw my Toshiba shut down and lose all of my information ( due to a hard drive malfunction ) for the second time, I swore to switch to Mac, in between pulling out clumps of my hair. When the ...
Pros: Reasonable value, good performance, new Intel CPU, versatile connection options, stylish looks Cons: Glossy screen and overly-stylish keyboard may be off-putting
I recently shopped for an Apple laptop, and while I did not ultimately choose a MacBook, a good friend of mine bought one for himself, so I've had a chance to play with it. The MacBook comes with the latest version of OS X and is also one of the new ...
Pros: EVERYTHING IS A PRO! Cons: The edges are a little sharp
Well I got this a little over two weeks ago now to replace an old Dell inspiron notebook that had had its fare share of beating up, and it was time to be retired. I decided on the macbook because as I began to work in my field and had more experiece ...
I'll never go back to Windows by rwavrik ,Nov 06 '06
Pros: Great OS & easy to use Cons: None
After many years of being a diehard Windows man, I made the jump to a Mac. I've had a number of windows based computers over the years including over 3 IBM Thinkpads, 2 HP laptops, and a NEC laptop. The MacBook beats all of the others hands down.
Battery life is excellent. DVD playback is awsome. OS works great, I can actually stop a program unlike in XP. This is the first computer I've owned where I actually used most of the included software.
My MacBook is a week 30 build which seems to be around when a lot of the earlier bugs were worked out. I have not had any of the documented mooing problems, RSS (random system shutdown), or overheating that some owners have complained about.
I'd recommend upgrading the RAM to 2 gigs (you can purchase and install the memory yourself for a lot less then Apple charges).
Pros: Looks nice on the outside, will do day-to day tasks reliably. Cons: Widescreen is a useless "addition" that limits what you can use it for.
If you're looking for something to do day to day tasks with, the Macbook will do that. If you want to attempt games... well, you're better off with a PC.
If you want to try and digitally paint or edit anything on the pitiful screen, it's just too tiny. It is made even smaller by the fact that it's a useless wide screen that costs you space and limits your editing room.
I hate this machine, and I'm trying to get rid of it as fast as I can. It seems to be only minimally faster than my iBook G4, which I miss terribly now that I'm stuck with this horribly small misfortune.
Pros: great new keyboard, no viruses, easy to use Cons: hard to find in stores when newly released, had to be ordered on-line
My brothers and sister all have Macs. I hesitated for years but after spending the summer using their computers, I was hooked. I switched from a Sony Vaio and am very happy with the ease-of-use of my new lap top.
As an educator I was able to get a teacher discount which was great. I tried to purchase it from two different university stores but they were sold out. I then went to Future Shop (local electronic shop) and they too were sold out so I ended up ordering it on-line. It arrived safely in 3 days. I also purchased the Airport Express for wireless convenience for my MacBook and printer.
The new MacBook is really sleek with clean lines. I haven't found that it scratches very easily like others have reported. I do wish that the battery had a longer life and that the plug attached to the computer a bit better.
Powered by the Intel Core Duo, built from ultra tough polycarbonate, just 1.08 inches thin Mac Book combines performance and portability like never be...More at eBay
