Pros: Light weight, powerful, speedy, WOW ! digital sound, graphics Cons: immediate RAM upgrade needed
Another success triumph for Apple. Their iBook has been one of the better surprises that they have ever had.
The company managed to learn a thing or two from previous products, mainly the PowerBook G4. Th iBook is a straightforward looking...

Pros: Great style, great operating system, you can almost do anything with it. Cons: 10 Gigabytes is small, CD burner at 4X is not very fast. SCRATCHES EASILY :(
I've had my refurbished iBook for about six months now. I have to say it is one of the best computers to have while you are in college. This little guy can help you with your homework as well as endulge you in many different multimedia...

Pros: Ultra: portable, light, friendly, space-efficient, novice/intermediate laptop, crisp and colorful image, ROCKS!!! Cons: Maybe a little expensive but well worth it.
I remember the day I got my iBook. The box was so cute that I didn't even want to open it. Once I did, I found a stylish laptop waiting to be explored and put to use.
However, I was afraid to touch it. I just wanted to admire its beauty, its...

Pros: Size, weight, price, looks and OS X Cons: Limited user upgrades
First a little background on who I am. I've personally used windows from version 3.1 to windows 2000. I have also used different versions of Mac OS. While I use windows 2000 at work I prefer Mac OS X. My first computer was an Apple ][. When Apple started...

Pros: portable, easy to use, nice software bundle. Cons: obnoxious plug and keyboard. (no nipple mouse!)
I bought my iBook for school and it's been really good. It came with a nice software bundle. The battery life is really good, I'm just not a big fan of the plug. the plug tends to fall out quite often and the mouse pad isn't the best. the iBook is very...

Pros: Ultra portable, long battery life, bright and vivid screen Cons: Networking with windows takes a bit of tweaking
I'm 22 and I work as a network administrator for a large business. I've been using computers since I was ten, and all of them have been x86 boxes running some form of the Windows operating system. In fact I've owned every version since 3.1.
I...

Pros: Gee, it's an Apple Cons: Help doesn't help me
I thought for my 200th review I should do something special. But I didn't. Here's to 200 more.
Not long after Max (my iBook) arrived Ruin13’s fiancée walked up to me and said "I hear you got a new iBook."
I replied. "Yes!...

Pros: A beautiful computer, which is immune to like 99% of viruses. Cons: software compatibility
This is now officially my favorite thing. I've had it for a few months now. I don't care about my TV, my DVD player (portable, small, and SONY), or my digital camera (teeny tiny Digital Elph thing from Canon), this is the best thing in my possession. It...

Pros: Affordable, sleek, light, good features Cons: Flimsy keyboard, scratches easily, gets hot
When I started looking for a computer for school, my first thought was to buy a desktop system. I knew I wanted an Apple computer, but I couldn't decide which model to get. Then someone suggested I look at the iBook...I laughed.
Now who's...

Pros: Price, weight, speed Cons: 12" screen is just about the only one I could come up with.
IBook 500Mhz searchers....dont' sell yourself short. There is a BIG difference between the 500 and the 600 in the Ibook, and I will give you the specifics to make the right choice.....which is the one I made.
I have seen the 500's going for...

Pros: Very portable, cool design, sharp screen, mac apps Cons: Case scratches easily, screen may fare small for some, we live in a PC world
I was heading off to college this fall, and I finally weedled my parents into getting me a laptop. Apple has always been strong in the educational market, and with the release of the updated iBook, this fact has never felt truer.
In my search...

Pros: Fast processor, great bundled software, small, easy to transport package, very versatile and user-friendly Cons: Does not have the computer world acceptance the PC does
Good things come in small packages. This cliché is a necessary element in reviewing the new iBook 600mhz. With its sleek gray-white chassis, zippy 100mhz front-side bus, and light sub-five pound weight, it is a wonder any portable computer advocate...
