Pros: viruses almost nonexistant, most things are already on the computer not many extras to buy Cons: I'm still thinking.........I'll let you know if I find any.
I am so glad we bought a mac! We got tired of adware, spyware, viruses, etc..so we switched. We haven't had one problem. I've been able to burn DVDs easily with no extra software to buy. Of course, if your DVD is copyright protected you probably ...

Pros: Easy to use, great design, reliability Cons: Expensive, USB ports on keyboard don't always work well
I switched to Mac last year and have not regretted it at all. The iMac is a great computer! I often have problems (admittedly usually very minor) with my Windows PC that I use for work, but have had no problems with my iMac. OS X is different from ...

not a fan
by tealblueis ,Sep 11 '07
Pros: I can open email without worrying. Cons: Too many to say in 15 words.
Sorry, but I'm not a fan. Bought my first Mac (iMac) a year ago, and honestly wish I hadn't. I'm sorry but I don't find it user friendly at all. I have three websites, and because I don't run a Windows program, I have lost the ability to work with my (templated) websites. And I am having a great deal of difficulty in finding a web host/builder that works with my Mac. Why do I have to spend more money to get a Windows platform - I paid over $2,000 to get this computer, and to ask me to spend several hundred more now to run Windows is incomprehensible to me. I've also lost precious photos, believing I was deleting a shortcut when in all actuality I deleted the folders themselves. There are numerous other complaints. Even the keyboard is uncomfortable and the keys are slow and stick. Only good thing I can say is regarding the lack of viruses out there that are written for Mac. I'm disappointed and wish I could take it back. I'd go back to a pc in a heartbeat ... viruses and all.

Great value second hand
by jonathan222 ,Jan 17 '09
Pros: Smoother operating sysem than Windows Easy to use Stunning machine good value for money second hand Cons: Not compatible with all software that's available No built in Wifi
The Imac G5 is stunning. I purchased one from Ebay last year. You can buy these second hand for around £300 now. It is fantastic, smooth operating system, however it's almost essential that you buy the airport wireless card for wifi internet as these mac's need to be kept up to date. The wifi card cost around £20 from ebay. You have to install it yourself, but it is very simple, apple also provide a manual to download from their website.

my second Mac
by onugi97 ,Oct 23 '08
Pros: Easy to use. Can install XP. Cons: Expensive than Windows
This is my second Mac. My first one was G-4 while I was in college in the year of 2000. At that time, Mac was not that popular even in the college campus. So, many inconvieniences existed. I had to troubleshoot for any error or trouble. This time, my decision parameter to purchase iMac was if it is easy to use to the point that I can handle all issues without external help. I realized that now Mac evolved a lot, and very easy to use, and fancy. The speed was great, easy to install, and Windows XP can be installed which I like most. If you want a special computer without sacrificing the use of Windows, this iMac will be a wise choice. Strongly recommended.

Pros: Easy to use and looks good. Cons: Expensive.
This is a great computer! My husband had trouble convincing me to go from a regular PC to an Apple, but I am so grateful I caved. This computer is easy to use, has great programs, and is stylish. You will not regret purchasing it!

I will never own a PC again!
by storm312 ,Oct 22 '07
Pros: Compact size, ease of use, good looks, remote control, built in camera. Cons: I don't have any!
This is by far the best computer I have ever owned. I love the fact of how compact the whole system is, everything is in the monitor. It is not only easy to use but fun, I keep finding cool and helpful things. I added Harmon-Kardon speakers and now it sounds great too! Another thing I love is how when you connect a camera, printer, etc. there is no need to download any additional software, easy as 1 2 3!

One Word....Awesome!
by jefkel ,Aug 27 '07
Pros: Stylish, compact, easy to use. Cons: Some web sites (very few) don't work well with the IMAC.
One of my first family computers was an apple....that was about 25 yrs ago. With the PC revolution moving to Microsoft. Like most others...that is the direction I headed. Recently I have been tired of the same old thing, software problems, spyware, viruses etc. Many people at work recommended the IMAC, so I gave a try. I have not been disappointed. It is compact, very easy to use, stylish, and their included software fulfills most of my needs. My kids love it. Welcome back Apple!!
