Pros: Rock-solid Mac reliability, huge boost in performance, no increase in price. Cons: Limited software without Virtual PC work-around. Older Mac Pro applications require upgrade.

Pros: You actually make stuff to share. Easy to use, No headaches, GET AppleCare. Cons: Waiting for them to kick the bucket so you can get a new one.

Sluggish

Pros: Stylish Cons: Sluggish
I have two, one at home, one in the office, both for very different uses and with different software packages. Both are regularly maintained and updated, the one in the office by the Macintosh IT expert, and both are SLUGGISH: if you enjoy looking at a spinning wheel and lots of patience, this is the desktop for you. Simply switching from Preview to Word will create a spinning wheel, and using Safari in general requires a lot of goodwill... if it does not crash.
