I have had my ipod for at least a month now, and I consider it one of the best players if not the best player I've owned. There are no skips or jumps while using it. I found out that the battery life could be a problem, but that was fixed by downloading the update software 1.26 which helps conserve the battery life of your ipod. It amazes others by how small it is and the space that it has. I have a 10G and currently I have 562 songs and it's not half way full. One more thing, the models that are currently for sale have the touch sensitive wheel so that dirt would not mess up the mechanics of the wheel and thats a good thing.

Well, maybe the other reviewer is just unlucky. I have dropped mine *several* times (I run with it) and it has never even skipped. It's also big enough that I use it to transport large video files when I need to. Man, Apple makes great products. This is enough to make me switch.

Great machine but too fragile. Dropped only once and that was all it took to end it's life. I had the player for less than a week and it's already out to the repair shop. I recommend a stronger more durable player for the money.
