Pros: Much more than just a music player. Simple to use, a joy to behold. Cons: Aluminum surfaces attract fingerprints like you wouldn't believe, non-replaceable batteries.
Wow, it's been quite awhile since I've written a review. Thanks to the being unemployed for a good half year I wasn't in any condition to pick up new toys and write about them. But things are better now so barring any bouts of laziness I should be revie ...
Pros: Compact, great interface, good sound, battery lasts 10 hrs Cons: Case could be better
Santa treated me well this year. I received an Apple iPod MP3 player and an Apple iMac for Christmas. The iPod comes in a square box that has a sleeve around it. You lift the sleeve up and the box is divided into two equal portions and opens like a...
Pros: Excellent sound. Huge and portable Firewire drive. Apple's design style. Others will be envious. Backlight. Cons: Yeah, it's pricey.
I try to write my reviews so that you can use them while trying to make your final decision. I want to be the guy that tips you off of the fence, and into a decision. As such, I don't go into specs that you can find on the manufacturer's web site, or...
Pros: 20 gig of very compact, portable storage.
Very easy to use interface Cons: Pricey.
Case clip a bit weak
When the 5 gig iPod was first released, I knew I wanted one -- as soon as the storage capacity increased. I wanted at least 10 gig of storage, since I have a lot of CDs I have ripped to mp3 format, and also needed to have a buffer of space for file...
Pros: Elegant, intuitive, tiny. Cons: No MPEG4 AAC or OGG Vorbis support (yet.)
The Apple iPod is the king of the hill when it comes to MP3 players - though other manufacturers have caught up to its pioneering storage capacity and FireWire file transfer speeds (using FireWire or USB 2.0 in their players) there is something...
Pros: very cool, small and compact, lots of storage space Cons: expensive!! can only sync from one computer, need to charge constantly
I've had this iPod for just under two months now and I've never been more pleased with an electronic purchase. If it plugs in, I'm more than likely to tire of it in a few weeks, but with this baby ... I'm very very happy and will probably keep her for...
Pros: Lot of storage, very stylish, compact, easy to operate... cool "scroll wheel" Cons: Equalizer presets have little effect... Lacks Bass
The best reason to blow $500 on an MP3 player is sound quality. Personally I don't think the Bass/Treble "presets" are good enough. They barely have an effect on the overall sound. The ease of use, asthetics and craftsmanship are excellent, but...
Pros: Sleek design. Great sound. Not much other than good sound and good design. Cons: Battery life. Unable to replace battery (without canceling the warrenty) Overpriced. Firewire.
I did so much research before I bought an MP3 player, and like you, I found nothing but rave reviews for the Ipod... so that is the one I chose to buy last September (even though it was 100 bucks more than the Creative and Archos players). Well, I am now ...
Pros: ease of use/navigation, sleek design Cons: battery life shortens with time, headphones are not durable
I bought my first ipod over almost 2 year ago and liked it so much that when I lost it, I bought another one. It is simple to use, very easy to navigate through songs, albums, and/or artists, good looking, can take a fall off a treadmill (when in its ...
I have always loved Apple products in the past, but the iPod is a real sour apple. I have had repeated problems with my iPod locking up. When it locks up, the display still shows, but no music plays, and the play duration stops counting. No buttons ...

Pros: Beautiful, easy to use, works well. Cons: None
This unit is very easy to use and just holds tons of music. Sounds great and is perfect for car use, portable use, and in the home. The unit works very well with your MAC and I-Tunes. I would highly recommend that you buy a case immediately to protect the unit. I recommend the silcone rubber I-Skin cases and they look cool, offer good protection, and the non-skid, almost sticky surface keeps the I-pod from moving around. I can set it on the car dash and the unit stays right there while I drive. Another must have is the Griffen I-Trip so you can play anywhere through an FM radio without hooking up wires (really cool) ! If you enjoy music you must own an I-Pod !
Pros: Looks nice! Cons: Scratches, bad equalizer, inconvenient pull-down menus, only works with iTunes
I think you should look at other brands before you try to fulfill you "cool" fantasies with iPod. Only recently has Apple (it seems caved in and) added a feature on iTunes so that you can erase songs from your computer but keep them on your mp3 player. Think about it, you have to keep 30-60 GB of music on your iPod AND you computer! Plan on buying an external hard-drive, then have fun trying to get the iPod updates to load onto that driver instead of the default C-drive. Also, if you use anything but iTunes, you will have to reload ALL of your music. If you "convert" it, you can never change the song titles, artwork or anything else associated with your songs. Buy CREATIVE (Singapore) or Archos (France) or Philips. If you want a pretty device that doesn't last, buy a Samsung!
iPod: Can't record back onto computer, surface scratches unbelievably easy, iTunes software takes up too much space, equalizer is horrible, player is expensive, pull-down menus are inconveniently organized!
