Pros: 6GB for $249, for me the best interface, integration with iTunes, style, better battery life Cons: Competitors catching up, 20GB iPod $30-$50 more, no firewire cable or AC adapter in package
iPod Mini has been out for only a year... the competitors are catching up. The Zen Micro seems to be a big hit for Creative, the iRiver H10 is an astounding although expensive package, Dell's got their pocket DJ, Gateway has their knockoff, Samsung is ...
Pros: Great sound, size, and the menu is very friendly and easy to read. Cons: Battery is not easily replaced. Price is slighty higher than it's competition.
INTRO: I last owned a Creative Zen Micro that quit working all together for no apparent reason. It was purchased at Best Buy with the extended warranty. And to my surprise, what they do is offer me an in store purchase for the amount of the Zen Micro, ...
Pros: User friendly, Holds many songs Cons: Expensive
The iPod makes my day complete. I take it everywhere. It has been a fantastic product, and has given me no trouble. The interface is great and extremely easy to used. Combined with iTunes it makes music extremely easy to find. How many other mp3 ...
Pros: Great sound-software worked well with product and product SEEMED well made and substantial. Cons: Safety issue - last one; short battery life 2nd one, defective hold switch first one.
First, let me explain that I got one from opening a bank account so the cost ($0) does not influence my opinion of this product. The brand new one the bank send me worked for just a few weeks and became difficult to turn on. I visited the local Apple ...

The new "2nd generation" iPod mini builds on the strengths that made the original mini a blockbuster best-seller: easy to learn, easy to use, elegant user interface, immensely usable "click-wheel," and outstanding sound quality. Since the original mini ...
My favorite Christmas present this year by vmili55 ,Oct 27 '05
Pros: Easy to use
Lots of space for songs Cons: Died easily when dropped
Battery could last longer
My kids got me the silver Ipod Mini for last Christmas. It is almost as a cute as a new dog. I like it because:
1) Easy to use. I really enjoy the wheel. Very clear to get through all songs and files, even more so than my computer.
2) Small size. I bought a case that straps on a belt loop or in my bag and take it walking with me in the morning and keeps me happy while grocery shopping.
What I don't like:
1) Slips out of my hand since it has a smooth surface. This caused the Ipod to not work, not even turn on a couple times. The first time it started to work again later by itself, the next time we had to take it back and get a replacement. This was two weeks or so after I got it.
Mainly, I just didn't like not having it with me. Pretty, convenient toy.
Pros: Small; easy interface, great industrial design, high quality headphones. Long battery life. Cons: Slow charging over USB 2.0; AC adapter sold separately. Can't change playlist order.
The iPod mini in either 4GB or 6GB is a great value. Not only does it hold 1,000-1,500 songs-- more than most people even have-- it is tiny, light, and the battery really does last roughly as long as Apple claims. In addition, the human interface element has been professionally developed and perfected to be a totally peerless system that is easy to use. Updating is a snap. Has some great features that will "wow" you. As soon as I used the touch wheel for the first time, I knew it was the product I'd been waiting for. With an advertised battery life of 18 hours, mine made it to 15 hours on the first overnight charge with normal use-- skipping around, adjusting volume, with backlight, etc. Long enough for any international flight.
While the interface is simple and intuitive, it comes at a price: lack of fine control over playback and other options. For example, you can't modify playlists, change play order, or make new playlists without connecting to a computer. It's true that you can make an "on the go" playlist (see documentation), but it takes some effort.
Pros: Click wheel easy to use, stylish, durable, great battery life, syncs easily. Cons: None at all. Never.
I got my mini in August 2005 and it is awesome! I repeat, awesome! It has never not worked for any reason, it looks great, the click wheel is cool, syncs easily with your PC or Mac, and is very durable. My mini gets tossed into my backpack on my way out to the bus, gets taken back out when I'm on the bus, thrown back in when I get off the bus, and then after school it gets taken out and thrown back in again. When I say thrown, I don't mean literally. I take really good care of my mini, as I do with all of my electronics.
All in all, if you're looking for an awesome mp3 player that's stylish, capable and easy to use, the iPod Mini is the way to go.
Pros: Small size, comes with itunes, light weight Cons: no adapter included, dents easily
well i got my mini for my birthday at the beginning of the summer. I did a lot of traveling and it worked pretty well. It is a lot better than having to lug around a case of CDs thats for sure. But they dent really easily. I'm not hard on things at all. It was in my purse and i took it out and there was a huge dent in it. I also don't like the headphones at all. They give out horrible sound quality. It is also a drag that you have to buy the $30 adapter to plug it into an outlet.
