  • The Best Shuffle Yet.

    Sep 15, 2010 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Playlists; Buttons; Excellent clip; Larger click wheel; Improved battery; USB; Sweat resistant; Battery check; Price.
Cons: No masculine colors; Clunky playlist selection process; Battery not user accessible; Max 320Kbps bitrate.

Summary: The last generation Shuffle (the 3rd generation, or '3rd gen') was a train wreck.  Eliminating all buttons from the shuffle makeas much sense as omitting the steering wheel from a car; yes, it may look 'cleaner,' but it's not very ... read more

  • Apple's IPod Shuffle returns to form in its 4th Generation.

    Dec 30, 2012 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Slick design.  Voiceover.  Lossless compression.
Cons: Only 2 GB storage.  Stupid earbuds.  Poorly considered clip placement.

Summary: The best ad hoc explanation for the 3rd Generation IPod Shuffle is corporate indulgence of a few designers' coffee-filled fugue.  Someone at a meeting asked "how few buttons can we place on an MP3 ... read more

Pros: Portable, simple, aesthetically pleasing, wide range of colours, heatsink
Cons: 2GB capacity, no display, clip hard to use.

Summary: The 4th Generation iPod Shuffle is one of the most reliable and simple MP3 players out there. At 1.14x1.24x0.34 inches, (A little bigger than the typical SD card) the iPod Shuffle is highly portable and features a clip to allow users to clip on various ... read more

  • The Apple iPod Shuffle 4th Generation Blue (2 GB) MP3 Player

    Jun 15, 2011 by
    Rated a Helpful Review
Pros: Comes with clip, small, comes with headphones, durable, charges fast, cheap, and holds battery well.
Cons: Small, no screen, only about 2GB of memory, and durable but scratches easily.

Summary: The 4th generation iPod Shuffle is surprisingly, not a terrible buy.  At 1.1×1.24×0.34  ;in and .4 ounces it is the smallest iPod yet! However that is not always a good thing as it is disturbingly easy to lose ... read more
